    Hey all, 👋  thanks for your support on this idea and sorry for the late update. I’m popping in to switch it across to delivered for our AU users!
    Just before the end of the year, we rolled out the option for employees to archive their rejected leave requests in Xero Me web.

  2. Please adjust the Leave Authorisers in Xero Me to be the employees in the business with Payroll Admin &/or the Authority to Approve Leave.
    Currently all user with PAyroll Admin are available for selection - which includes ALL advisors.
    As an accountant - we are having to revoke our access to a client's payroll to ensure that the staff in the client's business cannot select the accountant's staff members to approve their leave.

  3. We must be give an option or some kind of template to upload hours in Xero if there are hourly employees and number is huge. Doing manually is quite a challenge and time wastage.
    So this option must be available even if not using time sheet.

  4. When using the Xero app from your phone, to have the Purchase Order numbers auto generate the number.
    Currently, we have to look back and previous purchases to find the last used PO....unless you have a great memory. And then, while creating a new purchase order, we have to enter the new number.
    Currently, we also need to select as an optional detail, the order number. It would be nice if the app created a new PO number, sequentially from the previous PO issued.

  5. Can we have complete name of Chart of Account in Xero Expense. For eg, from screeenshot attached, we have x3 different Meal Chart of Account but as i can't see the complete name of the chart of account i have to go to different screen to find the right code.

    If we can see/have complete name of the chart of the account when submitting/editing Credit Card receipt that will be super helpful

  7. Sometimes small buisnees is exactly that - a small business without the need for a robust accounting software, but with the requirement for annual online tax filing ability. Effective 2024 all Canadian corporations, with very few execptions, are required to file their corporate tax online.

    My understanding is Xero offers this option to UK Accountants & Partners only - not to small businesses.

    I suggest this option be made available to the small business that make up most of the country's enterprises. The Canadian government has decreed the online filing method is required from 2024. There are many accounitng programs,…

  8. I need to be able to approve super when I am travelling and do not have access to text messages. It is most inflexible that there is only one method for doing this! Can the Xero Verify App not be used for auto super approvals too? Then I only need wifi.

    Hello everyone, appreciate all your feedback here. To be upfront, we don’t have any plans to develop the ability to reconcile clearing, control and non-bank accounts in the near future. 


    Some of the technology improvements going on across Xero will create more opportunities for us to explore extending some of the more complex functionality from one part of Xero to another. However, we are some way off from this yet. 


    That being said, there is the Account transaction report that could be handy in providing a view of both sides of a transaction in Xero. You can include the related account as a column in the report - See more in our help article on this.

    Alternatively, if you’re using an external system, you could look into the Xero App store

  10. Xero should not allow employees to submit Expenses for locked periods. It must have a Posting Date & Document Date to facilitate this. The document date should always be what's on the invoice/receipt

  11. I would like to have my monthly subscription invoices in EUR instead of the standard USD invoices that Xero Global issues. There are a lot of European countries that fall under Xero Global by default but paying these invoices makes us incur unnecessary bank charges due to FX. Please amend and let us decide on the invoicing currency for our subscriptions.

  12. Xero needs to create a subscription purely designed for sole traders.
    Applications like hnry are alot more user-friendly and a subsciption plan designed purely for sole traders who want to manage their own returns would be great. It would also be ideal to have the subscription cost refined for this type of usage also

    Hi Shyam, this likely depends on your needs as a Sole trader and the type of features you need when using Xero. If you're wanting to process payroll for yourself the Ignite plan offers this for 1 person, as well as access to many features across Xero that will help you record expenses, track and manage your business on Xero. Is there something in particular about this plan or it's offerings that don't fit your needs? See more of our plan offerings on our website.

  13. I would like to be able to flag or log a Xero issue, without having to raise a case.
    Sometimes my colleagues and I are having the same issue at the same time with Xero. Eg. Dashboard not displaying correctly, unable to change organisation from the dropdown menu. But when we go to https://status.xero.com/ everything is showing as "Operational".

    An option of being able to click onto a region; setting; choose the issue would be great. That means that Xero could be alerted quickly if there is a wider issue, or if it's an isolated issue.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to help Xero identify and raise issues asap. While we may consider changes to this overtime, to be upfront there are no immediate plans for changing the current method to raise these sort of issues with us. There are a number of troubleshooting steps our specialists will work through with a customer to rule out external factors that could be impacting your experience with Xero, and they'll get the right detail to investigate, triage and escalate if the cause does appear to stem from within the product.

    One area we know customers can commonly run into trouble with is bank feeds, and we do have work going on atm to enable customers to send us an alert if they are experiencing trouble with a bank accounts feed from within their organisation. You can stay up to date with progress for this, on this idea.

  14. I create a purchase order through the Xero App
    I go to Categorise to an account - on my iPhone it has a search accounts feature, on my colleagues Samsung phone there is no search feature - he has to scroll through all the accounts listed to find the correct accounting code
    Will this feature be added to Samsung phones?

    We also found this was the same when selecting Projects or Plant (tracking categories), on my iPhone I had a search feature, on his Samsung he did not and again would have to scroll through the extensive…

  15. When a Xero customer is creating an invoice for another Xero customer - why not allow this to automatically show up in the Bills section, if the receiver agrees to this. Would save a heap of time and coding.

    Hi team, sorry we have not engaged with this idea before now. I'm pleased to confirm that this idea is already a feature within Xero.

    If a user is in an eInovicing region(AU, NZ or UK) and has registered to receive eInvoices, once you add them as the Contact to your invoice the option to 'Send as an eInvoice' will appear.

    For non-eInvoicing regions the option to send via the Xero network is available and your customer will be able to share their Xero network key with you to send with this option - This option is currently available from the Awaiting Payments list screen, however we're currently developing the ability to send with the Xero Network from within an invoice and you can stay updated on this delivery here.

We have 2 Shopify stores, one for our wholesale customers and one for consumers, however, unfortunately, we cannot connect both to Xero, which is extremely annoying and causes a lot of work for us behind the scenes. Connecting both will mean a more streamlined experience and make our Xero world much easier.

Currently, when preparing financial statements or other reports in Xero, you have to export the report to PDF to work out if you will need to insert page breaks to keep all related content on one page, or to ensure that a heading doesn't end up on one page and the information on the next. This can sometimes mean exporting a report multiple times if there are multiple page breaks required.

    Hi everyone! Today we released the new preview panel to all users 🥳

    Any report that you can edit the layout of now has a PDF preview on the right of the screen. You'll be able to instantly see how any changes you're making to your reports will be reflected (including page breaks).

    We thoroughly appreciate the input and feedback we've received from customers which has helped refine this end result. Thank you

    Hi community, thanks for sharing with us on this idea. It would be good to get further insight into why the user would not be invited into the Xero organisation if they are a part of the approval process.

    While we don't have plans for developing a share link on bills like invoices at this stage, an option for some right now could be to export bills from your organisation which could be provided to the right person in a CSV format.

  19. I often take part-payments against customer invoices in Xero. But, when I use the app, the full sales invoice amount appears rather than the remaining balance. The app should show the remaining balance on sales invoices - when viewing the list of unpaid invoices.

The ability to match and upload receipts and invoices stored and analyzed on any number of different apps to simple bank transactions downloaded and categorized in xero based on the exact amount and the relative date only. Do this without the complication of further analysis in xero such as matching or paying bills.

    Background and use case: For any business primarily downloading and categorizing expenses from various bank and cc accounts and not using xero to bill customers and create invoices.
