    Hi everyone, as much as we appreciate the feedback and interest of being able to receive a notification of whether an invoice has successfully sent. The team priority right now is around the body of the invoice within Xero. 

    We want to be transparent in this here and will move the status of the idea back to submitted.

  2. It would be good if the "Manual Journal" can be linked to Customer and view at "Billable Expenses - Outstanding".

  3. A number of overseas entities, may be registered to charge GST to AU customers, particularly if they are selling digital services into AU. Many of these entities are registered with an ARN (ATO Reference Number), rather than an ABN.

    If registered with an ARN, they can charge GST, however the recipient of the service cannot claim the GST credits.

    For Xero users, it would be great to be able to include the ARN as part of the contact record - ideally in the ABN field, and potentially with a checkbox to indicate that this is an ARN instead of an…

  4. Please enable the ability to pay staff with a joint bank account in same pay run. We currently have to pay two couples with a joint bank account into separate accounts each run. Xero does not permit two payments into the same bank account in one pay run. I have confirmed with our bank that this is not an error on their end. Xero support have informed me that this is not a function that Xero currently offers.

    We want to be honest that we don't have any planned work for developing print options at the organisation level atm. If there's any changes to share we'll let you know.

  6. Ability to cc and bcc when sending emails from xero.

    This would be very useful as we have many clients that like to have various other people copied in.

    Hi community, we value your engagement in product ideas here. As you may have seen we've recently rolled out a new send experience in new invoicing. 

    With this new side-by-side view you'll find you can also CC and BCC other emails 🎉

    While this feature is contained to new invoicing atm, we'll look at applying a similar experience to other areas of Xero that you can send from in the future, so we'll keep you updated of any further developments for this here. Thanks!

  7. If an item has been billed manually or your stuck with some items in billable expenses you have to open every bill and remove the client from the items that are have not been billed.
    Could you add a tick box selection in the Billable Expenses - Outstanding so that you can then select a remove billable expenses from multiple bills in one go.

  8. Previously we were able to "Add billable expenses" to a "Copy to draft invoice". However, this feature is no longer available/showing up as an option when creating the draft invoice. Instead I have to save the invoice as a draft and re-open, then I'm able to add the billable expense.

    Hi team, thank you for your feedback and sharing about this with us here. I can confirm our team recently released a change to fix the issue some users were experiencing like you've described here where the Add billable expenses option was not appearing.

    You should now see this appear when creating an invoice for a contact that a billable expense has been assigned to. If you do continue to experience any issues with this, please do raise a case with our Xero Support team who have tools to be able to investigate and escalate with our product team if needed. Thanks

  9. Ability to have email notification to all users/nominated users when supplier bank account changes.

    Purpose: So all people in Xero orgs will immediately know if there’s any unusual activity in supplier bank account detail.

    Appreciate wanting an update from us here, everyone. We know that having more visibility of when a supplier’s bank account details change is important to you and understand that there are some security concerns around this. This is something our product teams are aware of the appetite for, however we want to be upfront that this feature is not planned in the near future.


    While not a direct solution to what you’re asking here, it’s worth noting that the ability to change supplier’s bank account details is limited by the bank account admin permission. Advisors will have access to the Assurance dashboard where you’ll be able to get an easy view of any Contacts whose bank account details have been edited, and you can also view this information running the History and Notes report.

  10. BRING BACK CLASSIC INVOICING
    We are extremely frustrated with Xero's recent change to email branding, which now forces our invoices and communications to include the Xero logo. This change makes our company look unprofessional and cheap, as if we are using a third-party service rather than managing our own finances.

    Branding is crucial for maintaining trust and credibility with our clients, and this decision undermines that. As a result, we are now reverting to manually sending invoices outside of Xero to maintain our professional image—adding unnecessary time and effort to our workflows.

    Appreciate your feedback here and I see you have also found the idea around the Xero logo shown on invoices sent to customers.

    We want to be transparent that we will not be bringing back classic invoicing, however we are still committed to developing and bringing further improvements to new invoicing that we know matter to our customers. You'll find a few ideas that have been raised across the forums here that are in the progress of being worked on by our product teams.

  11. Employers are only required to pay superannuation guarantee up to a quarterly threshold (maximum contribution base). At the moment Xero doesn’t cap the super at this level, and will allow super above the cap to be booked. (In fact, to limit the super at the cap requires a work-around adding 2 lines, one with 0% super and another with the fixed amount up to the cap.). Employers can easily overpay their employees’ super. This functionality needs to be built into Xero.

    Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback and I do want to apologise for any confusion my update's caused. You're correct in that the responsibility outlined in my response is relevant to the concessional contribution cap. Seeing your responses today, we now appreciate that the idea here is specifically around the maximum contribution base.

    I want to assure you this is something our product teams are paying close attention to and though we don't have any immediate plans we can share, we will consider this request as we continue to plan our roadmap - We encourage you to share any further details on your experiences related to managing the maximum contribution base as these will be helpful to the product team as they assess this feature.

  12. Ability to have multi-currency for inventory in Xero.

    Purpose: To make invoice and purchase tracking easier, because this feature will allow users to enter different currencies when they’re buying and selling the item.

  14. XERO Projects could do with a massive update!

    Similar to the main dashboard XERO Projects could also do with a dashboard where you can see a quick overview of what is due in the coming weeks, what is overdue, what is assigned to me, or what is assigned to staff I manage. What projects are in draft status and what projects are 'in progress'. Projects with amounts that need to be invoiced and projects where allocated hours to tasks have been exceeded or amounts allocated to estimated expenses have exceeded.

    In other words a dashboard that gives a nice visual…

  15. Now that NZ has 7 days transactional banking by all banks, can BNZ who is only providing Xero with bank feeds Tuesday- Saturday, (per Xero support) now send Monday- Saturday, so Saturday/Sunday transactions can be reconciled Monday's and information be up to date.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on the frequency of the BNZ bank feed. We understand that getting timely transaction data is crucial for keeping your accounts up-to-date.

    The way the direct feed from BNZ is currently set up means that transactions made over weekends and public holidays are sent through to us on the following business day. This is why you'll typically see these transactions appear in Xero on a Tuesday.

    We will keep this idea open for the community to continue voting on. Your votes help us, and our banking partners like BNZ, to gauge demand and prioritise these potential improvements. We’ll be sure to post an update here if there’s any news to share.

    Hi Bijanca, while we appreciate your idea here connected apps build and design their integrations with Xero themselves so they're best to approach to request changes or expansion to their integrations with Xero.

  17. To request with Xero to add in Debit Note feature, which it is issued by buyer/ purchaser to the seller where under this circumstance a debit note is given by the buyer/purchaser to the seller to reduce the total value of the bills/invoices.

    Currently, only supplier can issue credit note, but as buyer in Xero can't really generate debit note if encounter return of stock/reduce total value of purchase invoices & etc

  18. Until this month, this was not an issue. However this month Xero has taken away the ability to send the superannuation SMS authorisation code to international numbers. What happens when you change a number or move overseas but still work for the company. Why take this away? Without discussion with your customers. If it's not broken, why is Xero trying to fix it?

  19. can you make the selection of multiple files possible when adding images to invoices please. i have to navigate to my phones picture folder when i am invoicing out my expenses for the month. i have to attach copies of my receipts to the invoice and its painful only being able to add them one at a time.

  20. When the Strip transaction fees come across for UK customers, the VAT box states 'NO VAT'. All Stripe fees are VATable so the VAT box should be '20% VAT'
    Currently have to go into each transaction to change this manually.

    Hi Emily, you can already do this in Xero. When you set up Stripe as a payment service, you can choose an account for your fees to be coded to, and you can also select a default tax rate to be applied automatically. It sounds like a tax rate may not have been selected during your initial setup.
