  1. Could Xero please introduce the ability to report child support deductions and garnishees via STP reporting to the ATO.

    Xero currently does not support reporting of child support deductions through STP Phase 2 with Xero Payroll.

  2. Batch Deposits: allow adding over-payments and pre-payments to a batch deposit from the Invoice > Awaiting Payments tab.

    Currently a bank deposit that includes over-payments or pre-payments will not match recorded batch deposits because over-payments and pre-payments cannot be added to batch deposits. This causes a lot of wasted time communicating with client accounting staff to understand how to reconcile the variances.

  3. Using the dashboard search, we are no longer able to search by account number and must instead use names. Account numbers are used by thousands of businesses across the country and it's one of my most common client questions.

    We can search by account number in the contact screen, please extend this to the dashboard search

  4. Hi there, would be awesome to be able to have a column in the detailed general ledger which has the quantities from what you entered in the quantity column when you reconcile the transactions. This is especially important when figured is used with Xero. As it takes a lot of time to go into each transaction and see what the stock quantities are to get the group total.

It would be great to have the ability to have a ‘send remittance advice’ button under the accounts transactions page of the bank accounts to easily tick the payments you want to send a remittance advice of to suppliers. Perhaps next to the ‘remove & redo’ button. This will save a lot of time having to go into a payment transaction. I know that the remittance advices can be send for bulk payments but this needs to be done before the payment is removed if various suppliers are paid in the same batch.   6. Add the option for multi currency to other subscription types.

    Currently the only way to use multi-currency is to upgrade to the Xero Established/Premium or Ultimate pricing plan. For a sole trader that doesn't need all the extra features of those plans, that is a minimum price increase of over double the starter plan.

  7. Restrict the ability to create a new contact,
    or at least do a verification of a new contact by e.g. pop up window "are you sure you want to create a new contact?"

    And taking it one step further - running a validation check in the current contact list and make suggestions of other current contacts that is closely alligned.
    e.g. after entering " H and M stores" a pop up can ask, did you not mean "H&M Stores" that is currently a contact?

  8. I am needing to import my payroll expenses from another payroll platform in the form of a manual journal. I need those payroll expenses to be tracked by project. It would be handy to be able to have a column for projects instead of a tracking category.

  9. When Xero are emailing out their invoices please can you go back to attaching the invoices as a pdf as it quicker to be able to forward them rather than having to sign in and save them as draft, especially when you are having to do loads for clients.

    Thanks for sharing back on this, everyone. We'd like to confirm the way the options works now when sending in new invoicing - This is triggered by previous behaviour.

    So, when you send using new invoicing, the selection for 'Attach PDF' is driven by the last invoice you sent. If the last selection was unticked the next invoice you send will automatically be unticked, and vice versa.

    What's worth noting is that this is a browser based setting. For example if you change computers or browsers your setting will revert to default where both options are unticked. As you'll see from my recent update on this similar idea this is something we may explore further down the line but we don't have any immediate changed planned for.

    Soon you'll have the option to offer Afterpay as a payment method to your customers which we know is important to all of you who've voted on this idea.

  11. Allow Xero users permission to authorise employee timesheets. At the moment only the payroll administrator or specific employee has the ability to do this. Payroll permissions under settings/users should be expanded to be more granular, with an option to allow users permission to authorise timesheets. Alternatively, under the employee details in Payroll, an option to select authorised Xero users whom may sign off timesheets for that user.

  12. The new Profit and Loss report does not filter the actuals AND budget by tracking category. You have to manually add the correct tracking category budget to the report. When you have 40 plus tracking categories this becomes time consuming and silly.

    The old profit and loss report did this easily. So the new report is a major step backwards

    Ensure the filter for the new profit and loss report filters BOTH actuals and budget, so the report is easy to produce and has meaning. Do not expect users to add the correct column for budget - particularly those less…

  13. At the moment, you can only delete or mark as billed purchase order numbers. However, you cannot see the purchase orders after deleting them. It would be useful to have an archived section in purchase orders.

    We have found that we need to go back an see old purchase orders that did not get billed, whether it is to compare it to the purchase we actually made to see why we didn't go through with the original purchase order.

  14. There is a difference between the functionality of new quote page and the old one.

    On the old quote page, when a new contact was entered and the quote was saved, you could then click directly on the contact field which was linked to the contact page. This allowed you to quickly add additional info (email address, phone number, etc). This made emailing the quote quick and easy.

    On the new form, after you save the quote the contact name remains in edit mode.... so you cannot click on it to get to the contact page. There is no link…

    While we don't have plans of developing this in Xero, we have recently partnered with Parolla to offer a connected plug-in to your Xero organisation at no additional charge to users with an Ireland based org.

    Appreciate the feedback and including a screenshot of the notifications you're getting on the invoice, Andrew. Just to make sure I fully understand your idea here - Are you saying that rather than seeing the pop up you'd like to have these added as history events to the invoice?

  20. Please put the customer's payments on the activity page so it is easier to see what payments went to which invoices. Seeing that an invoice is paid isn't enough information if the customer has questions. It would be nice to see WHICH payment is applied to an invoice.
