UK Payroll - Holiday balance on final payslip
When an employee leaves, it would be really useful for Xero to calculate how much leave they have left or have over used and then calculate and add/deduct the value from the final payslip. Currently, I have had to do the calculations manually, and then I add to add the holiday to the payslip and change his departure date to cover the leave period - a bit of a messy fudge.

Ability to partially reconcile a statement line to one invoice and leave the rest of the payment unreconciled until the details needed for reconciliation are received, instead of posting an overpayment.

AU Payroll - Multiple payroll bank accounts
We need to pay two different groups of employees from two different bank accounts. Having to change the payroll settings each time I do a pay run (to change the bank account) leaves far too much room for error. Can there be an option to select which bank account you want to use for each pay group PLEASE!!?

Bills - Show bank details in Bills to Pay screen
It would be good to be able to see the bank account details (BSB and Account number) on the new bill screen when entering invoices to be paid. By having the contacts bank details on the entry screen you can easily check that the bank details in Xero match what is on the invoice. This would save time of having to go and open the contact to check that the details match - not to mention save time of having to download the invoice so you can view it while checking against the contact. UK Payroll - change the standard password, set by Xero, when emailing payslips
Ability to change the standard Xero password when emailing payslips.
Purpose - if emails were hacked, the current standard password (initials & birthdate) set by Xero is easily guessed. It should be possible within Xero to change this standard password.

Xero Me - Notifying employees that they have a new payslip uploaded in Xero Me
I feel it would be very useful that once a payroll is processed and the system uploads payslips into Xero Me that the employees either get an email from the system or the associated app notifies the employee that there is a new payslip available to view.
I understand that Xero can securely email payslips, but I think that it would be useful for Xero had the ability to be able to automatically notify employees of uploads into Xero Me

Manual Journals - Extend import limit
The 300 line cap for importing journals is completely pointless and shortsighted. With MTD rules requiring digital links, importing of journals/transactions has become vital, yet Xero still retains this nonsensical limit. We are forced to manually intervene and adjust where journals are too long (makes a mockery of MTD). Excel can handle over a million lines (and has done for ~20 years now). Sage manages 999 (still limited in this day in age). Somewhere between the two would be great!

I've checked in with our Payroll team where this detail is saved.
We appreciate wanting more options for gender when entering personal details, and in some regions such as AU & NZ this is optional.
Currently, in order to ensure successful payroll filings with HMRC in the UK, we need to match the schema they provide. That said, our team are reassessing how this fits in Xero so I'll shift this Idea to 'under review' and can share any updates that come. -

Is there are means to add personal non-business expense bank feeds into Xero under the same licence so they can be separately and privately monitored?

Reporting: Aged Payable/Receivable Reports - Add payment dates and details
Adding payment dates and details in the Aged Payable/Receivable report.
Purpose: It is useful to see any outstanding invoices.

AU Payroll - View payslip in employees record
Option to be able to view payslip in employee file rather than having to download
23 votesHi everyone, while not directly from an employee's record it's possible to view an employees payslip without having to download it. If you select Pay employees from the Payroll menu, choose the required pay run you'll be able to click View Reports where you can choose the 'Payslips' option.
From here you can see the payslips for all employees in that pay period.
We don't have direct plans for adding this capability from within an employee's record atm, but we'll track the interest of this here and let you know if any change is planned.

New invoicing - Remove invoice description character limit
Remove New invoicing description Character limit. Currently the limit is 4000 which isn't enough for large customer invoices.
23 votesThanks for continuing to share your feedback on new invoicing and your needs in increasing the description field. As mentioned in my last update, currently each line of your invoice can contain up to 4,000 characters within the 'Description' field.
Though we don’t have immediate plans for extending this, our product teams have started some more research to get a deepened sense of our invoicing users for future improvements. If you'd like to share further feedback we'd love to hear from you, through our survey here.

AU Payroll - Option to set week ending date on Timesheet Detail report
The week ending period on the Timesheet Detail Report is Monday to Friday and cannot be adjusted.
Oaur pay week runs from Wednesday to Tuesday. We have to duplicate data on an Excel spreadsheet for reporting for management.
It would be very useful if the week ending period could be edited so we could use the reporting in Xero and save time processing payroll.

Invoices - Ability to show recurring invoices within the Contacts page
Be able to see recurring invoices set up for a client on that client's page. So many times I think to myself "I'm pretty sure I set that up, but did I?" and then I have to go and search in the repeating invoice tab. It would be good to be able to see recurring invoices just on the client page.

Xero Files - Ability for Read Only users to access Xero Files
We would like our auditors / account reviewers to have Read Only access to our accounts in Xero however this does not enable them to view Xero Files, which is where we save our bank statements, etc.
Currently we need to give them Standard Access so that they can have access to the documents in Files, however this also gives them the ability to change the accounts as well.
We would like to suggest the Xero files be added to users with Read Only access.

Xero - Option to flag a performance issue without having to raise a support case
I would like to be able to flag or log a Xero issue, without having to raise a case.
Sometimes my colleagues and I are having the same issue at the same time with Xero. Eg. Dashboard not displaying correctly, unable to change organisation from the dropdown menu. But when we go to https://status.xero.com/ everything is showing as "Operational".
An option of being able to click onto a region; setting; choose the issue would be great. That means that Xero could be alerted quickly if there is a wider issue, or if it's an isolated issue.23 votesHi everyone, we appreciate wanting to help Xero identify and raise issues asap. While we may consider changes to this overtime, to be upfront there are no immediate plans for changing the current method to raise these sort of issues with us. There are a number of troubleshooting steps our specialists will work through with a customer to rule out external factors that could be impacting your experience with Xero, and they'll get the right detail to investigate, triage and escalate if the cause does appear to stem from within the product.
One area we know customers can commonly run into trouble with is bank feeds, and we do have work going on atm to enable customers to send us an alert if they are experiencing trouble with a bank accounts feed from within their organisation. You can stay up to date with progress for this, on this idea.
