NZ Payroll - Hide Payslip information on desktop Xero Me overview page
My team member complained about the privacy of Xero me Overview page.
The page lists the payslip information on default. It is considered a risk of privacy exposure when people open Xero Me in the office area.
Maybe it would be good to add a funtion in Xero Me overview page to Hide the payslip information.

UK Payroll - Ability to process prior year employment allowance claims through Xero payroll
At the moment this isn't an available feature, and HMRCs basic PAYE tools need to be used. It would be good to see this as an option in Xero.

Xero Projects - Charge out Rates by staff member not by Task
It seems like a ridiculous hack to have to duplicate tasks for various staff members or charge out rates. eg TASK1(apprentice), TASK1(trade assistant), TASK1(Tradesman)...TASK2(apprentice) ...and so on.
The inability to organise 'tasks' into groups/ headings within a project is another obvious flaw and means that 'tasks' could functionally only really be used as 'major cost centres' rather than granular tasks, but even at a very top level breakdown, having those 'tasks' would get unwieldy very quickly.
I know that Xero Projects is a light weight add on, but that is also part of its appeal.…

Xero Me - Clock in and clock out on timesheets
Xero Me - Needs spot in App to input the Earnings Rate and Tracking Category for the employee. Needs a start/stop button for clocking in/out so that when the employee starts the day they simply press start and the app records the time started. When they press stop it records the stop time until the start time is pressed again. This can be used for breaks and for start and finish of the day - these can be edited if someone forgets. Xero Files - Attach files to Bank or Nominal Accounts
It would be a really useful to be able to attach files to a bank account within Xero, much as you can to a contact or transaction.
The use cases for this could be:

Xero Product Ideas - Improve navigation & search
There seems to be a trend to hide the button that is used to post a discussion or submit a product idea amongst others. It appears that you click on a link that you think should take to the "submit new product idea" page, and when you get there and enter in your idea, you realise it was a search box that is searching for existing ideas. Fair enough, force me to search first, patronising but I guess it reduces Xero's workload (not mine though). But where is the button to submit the product idea? And how do…
4 votesAppreciate the feedback, Martin. As you noted you do need to search ideas first and to create one you'll need to enter a forum and search where you'll then get an option to Post a new idea if lone of the results doesn't match what you're after.
Understand how this could be simpler and while we don't have any immediate plans on this, we;ll update you here if any are made.

Xero and Shopify inventory integration -Direct link for live stock levels
Would be great if you could link cirectly to the live stock levels inside Shopify so if I generate an invoice and sale from Xero then the stock level reduces and adjust accordingly. There does not seem to be functionality that does this currently.

Invoices - Option to send our own PDF invoices through Xero
We have our own PDF invoices we send our clients and much prefer these over the automatically generated Xero PDF version of invoice. I know we can upload these into Xero when in classic view but are these the PDF invoices sent with Automatic Reminders when selecting "Include the link to the invoice PDF" or is it the standard Xero PDF invoice that is sent? If not can this please be added as we much prefer our own invoices as much detail goes into them and we are not happy with the overall look of Xero PDF's. We…

User role: Control and restrict access to accounts in Xero
We use Xero for our Bookkeeping business & would like to invite clients to view only the information pertaining to their individual business records. Right now, anyone who logs in can see every other client’s information, as well as their own.

Bills - Organisation search function when using Save to Xero
When we receive a bill from a supplier that also uses Xero we have the option to put it in as a draft bill directly into our Xero. It's very useful feature. But as a partner with nearly 200 clients when we click through it asks us to log in and select which client the bill is for. We used to be able to type the company name (usually our own) but that option has been removed and now I have to scroll down the list of clients until I find the right one. Xero - Resize in conjunction with browser window
When resizing my browser window, many of the Xero screens (including Bills, Timesheets, Invoices) do not resize. Instead they chop off on the right hand side. There is not even the option of a slider to get over to the right.
I have tested this across two browsers IE and Chrome. Frequently I am working on a laptop with a small screen and this is really annoying. I would rather they scale up or down when I make my browser larger or smaller.

Xero Me | Expenses - Add stops for Mileage Reimbursement
Add the ability to add stops to mileage reimbursement. This way a person can add a round trip or add stops between the round trip to collect all mileage for the 1 trip.
15 votesThanks for the idea and adding your interest here, everyone. In lieu of a direct feature to accommodate this atm, you may find duplicating the claim to record each part of a trip useful in cutting down the data entry. We'll let you know if there's any change planned here.

We often use the quick search feature in Xero, and it is often used just to get the client code for files. It would be incredibly helpful if the client code populated next to the client name in the quick search bar to make it easier to see

Employee Expense Claim - option to select from bill already in Xero from integrated platform eg Simpro
We use Simpro for all our project/job related expenses which is integrated with Xero. If we have an employee purchase an item for a job and pay for it, as we don't have an account with the particular supplier, we need to reimburse them. In the Employee Expense Claim, once submitted, there is only the "View Bill' option available, which is Xero creating the bill. Expenses - Inbuilt calculator
The sum and subtract function in invoices is a great feature; it would be great to use it in expenses as well. I often have to itemise a gross expense total into separate items with different VAT treatments. It would be useful to subtract the itemised line amount from the gross total directly in Xero rather than using a calculator.

Most web links allow for text and links to be selected/highlighted by clicking, holding and dragging for additional options when the selection is right clicked (copy, print etc.)
It seems unintuitive when attempting to select/highlight (clicking and dragging over text) items in Xero, such as invoice numbers, that the page immediately follows the link as though clicked.
It is often useful to select text for simple copying, or highlight specific sections for printing on web pages, but this behavior prevents that basic utility.3 votes -

I want to track certain yearly expenses. I wish to put a limit to the expenses. When they reach the limit,I wish Xero can alert me. Eg Setting a limit on staff benefit per employee as $1,000. Once $1,000 is reached, a message can be sent to me.

Xero Me - List earning rates in alphabetical order
We have several earnings rates Eg. Normal Time, Saturday, Sunday, etc and for each earnings type, there are several rates. We have these set up in Xero and they display in Alphabetical order under 'Pay Items'.
However, when staff are completing their timesheets in Xero Me, all of the earnings rates are out of order (in fact they are in no particular order!) which makes it very hard for employees to complete their timesheets correctly. We have over 45 staff and approximately 30 earnings rates, therefore having them in random order in Xero Me causes many timesheet errors.
