  1. Repeating Invoice: Sales Overview Screen - add a Last Updated Date to the Overview Screen

    Purpose: We use repeating invoices for the Auto Pay feature but most invoices need some form of adjustment before being sent each month.   2. Extend the search function under bills to pay to include creation date to help elevate duplication when exporting data to csv file.

    I want to export invoices from Xero to import into a CRM platform to use as a job cost analysis as this is not a function Xero currently has.

    All invoices dated the 01.09.22 will not be input on the same date so there is no way to ensure you have exported all the invoices for the 01.09.22 unless you delay the export. This is not a practical solution for me as I want to assess the…

    Hi team, returning to the idea I wanted to highlight that you can currently run the History & notes report which could be filtered for Type = Bill, and type 'created' in the search bar.


    Relating to the ability to identify duplicates - our team are currently working on aa duplicate detector that'll further help with this process, so you'll be able to review bills that have been identified as duplicates and take needed action before exporting - You can stay up to date with work for this on this idea.   3. HOLIDAY ACCRUAL SHOULDN'T TAKE A MONTH TO RESET
    We have holiday entitlement to reset on the 1st of April each year, however, the holidays don't reset until the 1st of May and after April's pay run.
    Please vote for all holiday balances to reset on the actual anniversary date.

    Hi everyone, we're pleased to update you that these changes have been released in UK Payroll! 🎉 This includes the ability to set employee's leave to accrue based on a custom date of your choosing. Additionally, we've released changes based on the feedback here so that leave will now accrue on the first day of your annual accrual method.

  4. Create an undo or revert option for edits made to invoices. We can already see the history of changes made to an invoice, so why can't there be a option to undo or revert to a previous revision of the invoice?

  5. From "business" then "bills to pay" or "invoices" and click on "export" from a search result, the payment dates are missing in both the Invoices and Bills export files. Only the invoice dates and due dates are exported. Please add payment dates to the reports. Thanks.

  7. With the old Invoice system, the message will correctly prompt the email address for that contact. If I choose instead, to send the message to another contact email first, I simply clear the prompted address and begin to type the intended address and the full address is usually prompted after typing the 1st 3 letters. Is there a way we can make the NEW INVOICES do this? Surely this can be done in the new Invoice Format..???

  8. As it stands the "template" is largely superficial, whereas a template should be meaningful.

    When I think of invoice templates, I think: unit prices, quantities, etc... much like your "repeated invoices" except the repeated invoices don't include dynamic dates. Monthly billing for a team is a nightmare.

    So either expand the templates to include meaningful features, or add dynamic dates to the repeated invoices. Preferably the second option so I don't have to constantly rebuild invoices for my team.

    Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give you an update here. As mentioned in our last post - we want to be forth right that we don't have any plans to remove 'Powered by Xero' from emails sent from Xero, with intentional purpose and based on findings from interactions we can see having true benefit to customers in getting paid faster. 

    That said, we appreciate the feedback we've received and have made changes since this was initially raised to reduce the size of the footer where this is shown and have removed the hyperlink to xero.com. We will continue to develop the invoice email to continue to drive improvements for our customers and the ways you receive payments.

  11. When you create an invoice the payment terms default to what is set for each customer (ie. 45 days from end of month, 60 days etc) however if you then change the issue date of the invoice, it defaults back to 30 days for every client regardless of their terms. We are looking for it to caclulate to each clients correct terms whenever the invoice date is changed

    Hi team, with some recent changes we made to the date picker in new invoicing you should find this is now working correctly for you. When creating a new invoice the default due date is triggered by the invoice settings, or where set for an individual contact this'll be the date used, also as noted in my update here - now if you update the issue date after a due dates entered, it does not automatically update the due date when you make issue date changes.

    If you're still finding any discrepancies in what you're expecting I'd recommend raising a case with our specialists at Xero Support so we can get more detail and confirm the behaviour you're getting.

    Hi community, appreciate your sharing in community here. Atm if you're wanting to change the payment date for an unscheduled pay run, you can edit the payment date while the pay run is in draft status. We don't have any plans for automating this.

  13. In original invoicing the Chrome CopyTables extension worked to copy the data from the invoice into Excel for creating pivot tables; that feature doesn't work in new invoicing. We work with multiple vendors on a single project and it's significantly easier to place those orders by copying the tables from Xero into Excel and creating a pivot table. If the base code can't be adjusted to work with extensions like that than being able to export an invoice as a CSV would be helpful.

    Hi Jonathan, appreciate the feedback however this is something you'd need to contact Chrome about in relation to how their extension works and if any change can be made to apply to Xero's new invoicing 

  14. There is no options to insert automatic date formatting into the reports at the client level. When the "current date" insert field doesn't work you have to manually enter the date all the time. It would be easier to be able to insert "current date" field.

  17. Make the Customer Field AutoFill in new invoicing

    In the old invoicing - which by the way was must better and more reliable, the customer field would autofill if it was setup to autofill within the customer set up. With the new invoicing this field no longer autofills. Please Fix

  18. I've just set up a salary sacrifice for a cycle to work scheme in payroll. However there isn't an end date in Xero so I have to manually diarise a date to stop the salary sacrifice for the employees. Please could a box be added to automate this.

  19. Dates should default to date format when exporting the VAT return to excel.

    Currently when exporting the VAT return to excel that dates automatically default to either text or general format. This means you can't filter the dates by oldest to newest as the filter selection defaults to A-Z.

    Changing the date to date format via format cells does not fix the issue. The only way I have found is to manually update the dates using the =DATEVALUE(x) formula and paste these new values over the old ones. This can be very tedious…

  20. Allow change to email format so that the VERY LARGE $X,*** 'Review and pay' button can be removed - as it can in the Classic invoicing. I have a large client who has stated they will leave Xero, rather than send emails in this format. They find it too aggressive.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback here. Right now it is possible to hide the 'Review and Pay' buttons completely from the Email Settings in the Organisation  settings. From here you can disable the 'Include quick link to online invoice and detail summary' setting to hide the payment buttons entirely.

    Just to note, this does strip back the email formatting so you might like to send yourself a copy to see what this then looks like once the option has been disabled. Thanks
