  2. A report showing all Bank Statement lines for (Filtered) bank accounts and date ranges.
    This report could be used to track transfers that go from Bank Account A to B to C.
    Should include User created statement lines and reconciliation status. Additional details such as matched transactions would also be useful.

We employ some Working Holiday Makers that would be assessed as Australian Residents for Taxation purposes, but the current STP2 system wont allow us to choose the employment type as Working Holiday Visa and then select one of the 2 tax status choices in the Tax tabs. The conflict seems to come from Selecting the Income Type as Working Holiday Maker - It seems a pointless Selection "Payee's country of Origin' if it doesnt trigger the expected tax rate for that selected country.   6. Where the business uses Xero for GST and payroll, it would be great to be able to create a bill off a finalised GST return or finalised payrun. To have the bill included in the payables automatically would ensure the bill is captured.
    It would also be great to be able to pay GST and employer deductions with a batch file from Xero, just as we can with other bills. This would remove the need for manual loading of the payments in the bank and ensure the matching of the payment in Xero was…

    Hi everyone, a few different asks within the idea here and I'd like to confirm what is currently possible to help clarify. 

    We have recently released a new send modal with new invoicing - with this update you now have the ability to cc and Bcc emails when sending individual invoices from Xero with new invoicing. 

    While it's not possible to set default cc and Bcc email at the email template level at present this may be something we look into further down the line and we will keep you updated of any planned improvements through this idea. 

    For the time being, if there are other people for a contact that you'd like to ensure also receive emails you can add them as additional people to the Contact record and select to 'Include this person in emails sent to this contact'

  8. Currently we create a budget for each tracking category (department).

    I have created a custom report which includes the budget for each category. I then use the formula function to sum the budgets together.

    I only want to see the formula column in the report outputted. (I realise that columns can be hidden when data is exported to Excel)

    I understand that there is not a way to show a formula column without all the individual budget columns.

    Enhancement suggestion: include a radio button for each column to hide/reveal that column in the report

  9. Many organisations pay staff tax free money when they work away from the office more than 24 hours. Currently there is no expense claim format that allows this type of reimbursement to be entered.

    Is it possible to have flexibility to create our own expense templates?

    Hi community, I know it's been some time since our last update here. Though we're continuing to follow and track the interest in automatic calculation of wine equalisation tax within Xero, for the time being this isn't something we've planned.

    As some may have received detail from our support team on there is a way we suggest you can record your WET liabilities and credits within Xero - See our post on this discussion for the detail. Alternatively, there are app partners you could explore on the Xero app store.

    If there are any changes around this we will be back to share with you all on this idea.

  12. The "View recent bills report" functionality on a Contact page has changed since the new reporting was deployed this week. Previously, if you clicked on the link you would see a nice list of all approved bills for that vendor whether paid or not. This functionality has now changed and is effectively useless. Yes, you can get the same info by going into Business/bills to pay but that it is more clunky. Thank you.

  14. In the Payroll software, we can only allocate Direct wages to the cost of sales. Unfortunately, that doesn't include Employer NI nor Employer Pension cost in the cost of sales.
    Such coding would be useful, as we now use Birghtpay to do such coding.
    Without this feature, the gross profit margin and overheads are incorrect.

  15. Sales Tax Audit report is produced only on the organization's base currency.

    To be able to produce the Sales Tax Audit report in other currencies as well.

    Reason: to be able to extract the report for organisations registered in countries of which currency is other than the Company's base (if also required for the authorities.)

    Hi everyone, as you may have seen in recent communications - We've rolled out a new and improved New Zealand GST experience.

    While we've made many changes, we want to be open that transactions will only print in date order. This isn't something we have plans for changing in the near future and we'll move the idea to not planned. If our position of this changes at any point we'll be sure to update you of this here. 

  17. The Classic version of Invoicing used to inform you on the view of an invoice that was created from a Repeating Invoice when the Repeating Template had been deleted.
    The new version does not give you this information resulting in confusion and wasted time.

    This is causing us a major headache as we have lots of Repeating Invoices that have to be cancelled and if a user isn't sure new invoicing doesn't help but allows you to go through the process of trying to delete the template again which results in an error.…

    Hi Chris, we appreciate you raising this message with us. It's something our team have added to their backlog but want to be open that we don't have active plans for changing for the time being. We'll continue to monitor the feedback here and I'll share if there is any progress.

  18. The leave process is not flexible enough. Once a request is approved, it can't be changed - only declined which is incorrect. Need to be able to amend/delete after approved. There should be the option to book as days not hours as our employees have day entitlement, this should also be able to be shown on payslip as days remaining. Why also is the leave balance report not being opened to UK

    Hi team, currently a user with payroll admin permission has the ability to edit approved employee leave requests, by going to the employees record, clicking into the leave tab, selecting the three dots where they'll see the option to edit.

    In regards to setting leave to be based on days this isn't possible as the earnings are based on hours, and cannot be set to days.

  19. When generating an Activity Statement for the GST wouldn't it be great if the information is automatically added to the Bills you need to pay?

    This way a person won't forget to pay their GST payment and can even easily include a default date that it has to be paid by
