50 votesHi community, we appreciate your ongoing engagement with us through the idea here. Thank you for sharing with us through product ideas, here.

New Invoicing - Allow to type the Bank Account in 'Add Payment' screen
KEYBOARD ACCESS IN ALL FIELDS IS CRITICAL
Xero users know how a keyboard works and I'm sure many find its use preferential to having to continuously move a hand to the mouse to engage dropdown menus. This needs to be available in all areas of Xero.3 votesHi team, from the payments window when you're on the Account field if you press 'Enter' on your keyboard this will open the field. From here you can type to search and select the bank you'd like.

New invoicing | History & Notes - Show email sent to
Can the new invoicing template show the address like the old templates used? Now if you go into edit the addresses have disappeared and to check if it is correct you have to click on the contact and fix it in a new tab.
Also the notes section has removed the time stamps and the email address the invoices get sent to. Can the new invoicing have the same notes and history function as the old one.118 votesHi team, I can confirm we have released another update for the history of new invoicing where now you'll see an entry when the invoice is sent and the email address it has been sent to. 🎉
We appreciate the interest we've seen around this. We still have a few more pieces of work we're doing around the history in new invoicing and you can stay updated on this progression on this idea.

Contacts - Edit option on Financial Details tab to link to Financial Details section
If I'm looking at the "Financial Details" tab for a contact, when I click the "Edit" button, I should be taken to the "Financial details" section of the "Edit contact" page. Currently, it takes me to the first section, which happens to be "Contact details".
1 voteHi everyone, coming back over the idea here this idea has now been implemented with other changes in Contacts.
Now, when you select to edit a contact from Financial details tab you'll automatically be directed to the Financial details section when the edit screen opens. 🎉

(UK) Year End date change to bases period reforms
With the new basis period changes coming into effect, some clients may want to change their year-end from 30.09 to 31.03. Currently changing the year-end in Xero will cause previous opening balances to change and most likely mean any working papers produced in Xero will no longer match the accounts.
It would be a useful tool to have something whereby a previous accounting period end could be locked so a new year-end could be chosen without messing up the old year-end balances.
67 votesHi team, I can now confirm we've now added the ability for you to create a short transition period (between 1 month and 12 months long) when changing the Financial Year End date within your organisations Financial Settings.
Just to recap for anyone new coming across the idea here - Aligning with the UK basis period reforms we've made a change to Financial settings so you can add start and end dates to different periods. This change impacts multiple areas of Xero.
- Fixed assets will draw on this information, to prevent any loss of historic information when your year end changes. Everything will automatically be calculated for you based on the period start and end dates you set in Financial Settings.
- The same story will apply in Reporting. All historic reports will be protected. And you’ll have accurate comparison periods even across varied financial years.
- In Xero Tax, you’ll be…

Subscription - Option to issue Xero subscription invoices in EUR
I would like to have my monthly subscription invoices in EUR instead of the standard USD invoices that Xero Global issues. There are a lot of European countries that fall under Xero Global by default but paying these invoices makes us incur unnecessary bank charges due to FX. Please amend and let us decide on the invoicing currency for our subscriptions.
5 votesHi all, we recognise there are many businesses working with Xero across the globe. While this'll be something we continue to consider long term we want to be open here that we'll no longer accept ideas about Xero pricing plans or plan structures here in Xero Product ideas. We cannot make commitments to ideas of this nature. Your insights and feedback here have been shared with our teams.

Sales - Bulk add payments to non bank accounts
It would be useful to be able to pay invoices in bulk through a designated accounts (which is not a bank account) in the event for example of invoice financing.
Currently we need to go in each invoice and enter the payment details if this is not going through the bank account.
The approach could be similar to the batch payment on the "Bills to pay" side.
2 votesHi Alan, similar to batch payments in the bills side we have batch deposits in invoicing.
You could create a batch deposit to record payments in bulk. Providing payments have been enabled to the account, a non-bank account can be selected for the deposit.

Director Declaration - Auto adjust terminology (single vs multi)
In the Director's Declaration, it would be great if the report could recognise if there is a single Director or multiple, and then update the wording accordingly. (eg "The Directors have determined" or "The Director has determined".)

Pay with Wise - Ability to have multi-currencies payments
Integration with Wise bank making multi-currencies payments
Could you please add more currencies on the list for making payments from Xero to Wise? Now is available just GBP UK account. Can you add currencies - AUD, EUR, CZK, USD?
7 votesHi all, while we have removed the Pay with Wise feature follow on from our last update we wanted to confirm that we have released UK bill payments in Xero.
Customers in the UK can set up direct bank transfer as a payment method for GBP bills to quickly and securely pay bills. Funds are transferred from your bank account by Crezco using open banking. The availability of open banking in the UK has enabled us to offer this on-platform. 🙂- Read more on our Blog

Invoicing - Stop capitalizing the address line for City
On the PDF invoices, Xero automatically CAPITALIZES the entire town/city name, even in my custom invoicing template. It looks unprofessional and I want it to go away. I've avoided this by typing all new addresses on the first line, but I have imported hundreds of contacts into Xero and I don't want to go in and change every single one of them.
5 votesHi all, in Xero City, State and Country fields appear in capital letters when using a standard invoice template. This is because the US Postal Service (USPS) recommends these fields are in all caps.
Currently you could use an advanced invoice template and replace the merge field <<ContactPostalAddress>> with some or all of the following merge fields to change the way this appears:
- ContactPostalAddressLines
- ContactPostalRegion
- ContactPostalCity
- ContactPostalCountry
- ContactPostalPostCode
- ContactPostalAttentionTo

Pre-Defined NET Payment Terms for Invoice Due Date
Most businesses use certain payment terms, like NET 30, NET 45, NET 60, NET 90 days. When invoicing businesses with different payment terms, there should be a faster way to calculate the due date, rather than asking Google "45 days from today" or "60 days from today" and entering that as the due date.
It would be great to create pre-defined NET payment terms as part of the Due Date dropdown in Invoices. That way it would instantly adjust the due date based on the payment term selected for that invoice.
Yes, there is a way to set a default…
6 votesHi team, while the pre-defined list of dates aren't selectable options, you can use the date entry shortcuts to quickly calculate the due date based on the Invoice date. For example to select 30 days from the invoice date you'd simple enter +30 or +30d in the due date field.
We have all the shortcuts listed in this Xero Central article

Pricing Plan - Increase the limits of Bills in Ignite Pricing Plan
Dear Xero
I'm a user of your Standard business plan and happy to pay for this service, but also a user of your Starter Plan for another business in another country and it has some limitations which really need attention for small business owners who don't do much accounting.
The limit of 5 bills a month has to be increased to at least 10 which seams fair for a small business. I don't see the value of your price increase for basic features we need.
The other issue with 5 bills its allocated to each month, so should you…
94 votesHi team, we thoroughly appreciate all the valuable feedback we've received through this idea and I can assure you this has been passed on to our teams internally to consider.
That said, we want to update and be transparent with everyone here that we'll no longer be accepting ideas about Xero pricing plans or plan structures and cannot make commitments to ideas of this nature.

Notes - Ability to bulk add to transactions
It would be incredibly helpful to be able to update multiple notes at once. For example, if I have a list of 300 invoices and a statement has been sent, I want to see that note on each invoice, so that anyone going into that account can see the last action. So for example, I want to add the note 'Statement sent today requesting payment by 19th April' to all 300 invoices, but I want to be able to select them all and add that note once, not 300 separate times.
It would be so helpful and would save a…

Dashboard | Cash in & Out - Link to new bank account summary
Reports: Bank Summary Report
The recent shift to new reports has not considered the Bank Summary Report. It is an important report in the sense that it tracks movements and balances for all the banks.
Please consider creating the Bank Summary report in the new format.2 votesHi team, thanks for the idea here and apologies we've not rounded back on this sooner. We made an update so this widget now links to the new Bank Summary report 🙂

New invoicing - Reduce size of text
URGENT!!!! The new invoicing is quiet frustrating. It doesn't remember past settings when emailing the invoices. So now I need to remember EVERYTIME I send an invoice to click 'send me a copy', which I know I'm going to forget especially if I'm in a rush.
ANNOYING!!!! There's an added step now to attach a pdf. I now need to click add files then drag the pdf, instead of simply dragging it and clicking to send with invoice or not.
It would be good if the Save & Close button had and 'Email for Approval'. I email invoices (unapproved). Once…
12 votesHi team, recently we have released a new line item grid in invoicing and you will find there are a few updates the team have made to improve visibility. We've optimised the padding, text size and columns width to make this more compact so you can see more detail without the need to scroll.
We value your contributions and thank you for sharing with us through this idea.

3 votesHi team, sorry we've not returned sooner! Pleased to share that this has now been released 😁
With the Hubdoc mobile app you can now upload up to 10 images at once.
Images can be bulk uploaded using the camera capture or your device’s gallery.

Sales Invoice - Ability to enter all contact details from an invoice
You can now create a contact from an invoice. Great, this was overdue.
Why stop at only allowing some of the details though? Weird.
Now I have to go back into the contact and edit it to add Company name etc.
It's just creating more work when I could have done everything from the one spot.
Please fix!6 votesSorry for not updating you here sooner, team. We've been making a lot of changes within new invoicing. One of these being enabling you to enter more contact details from the new invoicing screen, without having to navigate away.
You'll find you can now enter the contact name, email, billing address, delivery address, and phone all from the contact card within a new invoice. These details will be reflected without the need to refresh the screen 🙂

Ability to mark multiple invoices as paid at the same time. Bulk Payments on invoices.
We often get cheques or direct deposits from companies that are covering 5-10 different invoices. CSV functionality would be overkill for what I need.
Right now I have to go into each invoice and mark them all separately as paid, and put a note that cites the total deposit amount so that we can keep track of the bank transactions.
On the customer's invoice page, I would like to be able to click a checkbox button for the invoices that are included on the cheque, and mark them as paid under one transaction.
With this check box functionality, you could…
2 votesHi team, it sounds like batch deposits would meet your needs here. From the Awaiting payments list view you could select up to 50 invoices to batch together as one payment. When the cheque or deposit appears in your account you could then just select the one transaction to reconcile.
While you can only batch 50 invoices at a time, you may like to add your vote and support on this idea, Peter. It's not something we have in planned development atm but if there's any change we'll update you all there.

New Invoicing - Populate Tracking column from settings in contact's Sales Defaults
Hi, the new version of invoicing will increase my work load. at present when you open an invoice to approve it, it is easy to select the tracking categories, as it is linked to the client profile. in the new version it does not and you have to go through the list in a drop down!
Also we have an issue when we change the invoice date. for example and Invoice raised on the 5th Feb should be paid on the 6th March. If we change the invoice date from the 5th to the 4th, it does not change the…
3 votesThanks for your feedback on the idea here, with the way new invoicing works once you add a contact, any sales defaults saved for that contact in their record will be applied.
Adding a Qty or Price for a line will trigger Tracking defaults saved for them to be automatically applied. Similarly this applies to the any default saved for Due Date. If you have saved a due date that is driven by the invoice Issue date you should see this update if you change the Issue date on the invoice.
If this is not behaviour that you're experiencing please do raise a case with our team of specialists so we can take a closer look into this with you.
