  1. I suggest on putting "Send to MyInvois" button instead of copy and paste the e-mail MyInvois@invoi.ci for every invoice. This is too troublesome.

    Hi Maggie, after checking back in with our product team I wanted to confirm - though not a specific button in itself you could add the email address on the Contact record. If you select to 'Include in emails' the email will appear each time you're creating an invoice for that contact, saving you from having to copy & paste.

    Hi team we appreciate support in this idea, however as previously shared we don't have any current plans for extending files to accommodate what's being asked here. 

    We're continuing to keep a watch on the support for this, and recommend exploring the Xero app store if this is something you need right now.

  4. I would like to have my monthly subscription invoices in EUR instead of the standard USD invoices that Xero Global issues. There are a lot of European countries that fall under Xero Global by default but paying these invoices makes us incur unnecessary bank charges due to FX. Please amend and let us decide on the invoicing currency for our subscriptions.

  5. KEYBOARD ACCESS IN ALL FIELDS IS CRITICAL
    Xero users know how a keyboard works and I'm sure many find its use preferential to having to continuously move a hand to the mouse to engage dropdown menus. This needs to be available in all areas of Xero.

    Hi team, from the payments window when you're on the Account field if you press 'Enter' on your keyboard this will open the field. From here you can type to search and select the bank you'd like.

  6. Accountants need to to be able to amend the account to which an invoice or one of the lines on it is allocated, as we can with the edit function in Classic Invoicing. We also need to be able to edit the Tracking Category of an invoice or line on the invoice. This is vital for our organisation and likely to be so for others businesses where invoices and bills are booked by financial staff and checked by Accountants. The ability to copy a previous invoice is also used all the time and saves a huge amount of time.…

    Appreciate your idea here, Michael. While it won't be possible to retain Classic invoicing, it is possible to Edit, Copy and Void in New Invoicing.


    That said, a couple of the Copy to options (to a purchase order or bill) are planned for new invoicing but aren't there quite yet. You can stay updated on these through the ideas I've linked.

  7. Classic invoicing feature missing from new invoicing format

    Some of our clients like to prepay so there are often credits to use. Upon approving an invoice, the classic used to say there was a credit available on that contact, click here to use it. There is no such feature on the new invoicing to indicate there is a credit available you have to go and manually check. As well as not informing you of an available credit, if you look at the new approved invoice there is no way apply an existing credit (only to create and apply a new…

    Hi Claire, when you approve an invoice for a customer that has available credit, you'll receive a prompt. If you choose to 'Skip for now', you should see an option to 'Apply credit' on the approved invoice. I've attached a screenshot of these in new invoicing. 

    If you're not seeing either of these options, I'd suggest double checking the name of the contact the credit note has been created for, and raising a case with our specialists at support to take a deeper look into things with you. 

  8. At the moment, when an invoice is sent using e-invoicing, the sent flag is not marked; they only show as sent if they were sent via email. This then follows through to the lists of invoices, giving a false impression that invoices were never sent, when they 100% have been.

  9. When you view a contact, you are able to see outstanding invoices and quotations from this contact. But it will be helpful to see quotations that have been accepted by this contact to make invoicing easier.

  10. Please reinstate the ability to create a sales invoice directly from the file library and have the file attached. This function was bafflingly removed in 'new' invoicing for sales yet the ability to create all the other types of transactions directly from file library was retained. This is a critical function when dealing with multiple BCIs (buyer created invoices) every month. Often the BCI file name does not include the customer name so requires opening the file in file library as well as creating the new sales invoice since files cannot be attached & viewed within the sales invoice until…

    Something sounds off here, as the 'Add to new' function is intended to add the file(s) to the chosen transaction.

    If anything like this isn't working as you'd expect it to, it's best looked into with a closer lens. Please raise a case with our Xero Support team on Xero Central and our specialists can investigate with you 1-1, and escalate to the Product team if it needs fixing. Thanks!

  11. Most businesses use certain payment terms, like NET 30, NET 45, NET 60, NET 90 days. When invoicing businesses with different payment terms, there should be a faster way to calculate the due date, rather than asking Google "45 days from today" or "60 days from today" and entering that as the due date.

    It would be great to create pre-defined NET payment terms as part of the Due Date dropdown in Invoices. That way it would instantly adjust the due date based on the payment term selected for that invoice.

    Hi team, while the pre-defined list of dates aren't selectable options, you can use the date entry shortcuts to quickly calculate the due date based on the Invoice date. For example to select 30 days from the invoice date you'd simple enter +30 or +30d in the due date field.

  12. Would love to see an integration of Dance Studio Pro into Xero. Invoicing for dance studio in Xero is not sufficient and would love to have the capabilities of the Dance program integrated into Xero.

    Hi team, pleased to share that with the release of Xero to Xero in invoicing we've also provided the ability to include attachments with your invoice when sending, as well as the option to include a PDF copy of the invoice. See more detail on Xero Central.

    Currently this is live to all regions excepting Singapore which we're just doing a little more work to enable. I'll be back to share when Singapore users can also make use of this feature in Xero.

  14. I have discovered that the invoices as they appear in the Preview button of an invoice only gives a preview of how the online invoice will display. This is therefore different from the PDF version of the invoice when it is downloaded as a PDF or sent to my clients. The PDF version looks a lot messier and looks far less professional.     Hi everyone, recently we made a change to the Preview option in new invoicing. Now, when you select to 'Preview' in new invoicing this'll open a new browser tab with a view of the PDF of the invoice. This means you can also see how your invoice will look to the customer with a docx / advanced branding theme applied.

    Our team are also doing more to look into how preview works and how your invoices look. We'll update again if there's more development to share. 

  15. Ability to alert a user when there’s duplicate invoices references when they’re about to approve it.

    Our duplicate bills detection is now live! 🥳Xero will compare the contact, reference and amount of bills and credit notes to identify and help you review possible duplicates.

    Where duplicates are picked up you'll see a banner above the bills list where you can click to review, this option is also available from the 3 dot menu in the top left of the list.

    From the review page you'll be able to take action on any unpaid bills. See more on this feature in Xero Central.

  16. We use Products and Services for parts that we buy in as well as what we make and sell and it would be great to have the ability to attach documents just like with invoicing so that original quotes may be attached for future convenient reference.

  17. Set the calendar to Sunday to Saturday for everything, including Invoices. - Xero recently changed the Calendar for only the invoices. The week day now starts on Monday. I was informed this change was intentional and is currently not going to be changed back. Credit Notes, Recurring payments, quotes, bills, reports, literally everything else has the week starting on Sunday. This is very cumbersome for our business. My staff are constantly putting the wrong date on invoices. We operate at very high speeds because we have a lot of customers come in at a time, and a lot to do…

  18. Allocate specific tracking categories to transactions instead of showing every category when a transaction is created.

    Currently all tracking categories show when creating a new spend/receive money. In our business one of these categories is used for timesheets only. I would like the option to be able to choose which tracking categories display when creating new spend/receive money transactions in Xero, in the same way that I am able to do this for payroll and on invoicing.

  19. When you go into a customer and click View recent invoices report, currently it shows a list of all their previous invoices, which is clear and easy to read. When you click on the new report version it shows a list of approved sent and paid invoices for all customers, but only for the current month. This is totally useless as you then have to filter it to the customer, and change the date back far enough to show all the invoices. Can you please change this so it is the same as the old report.

  20. Invoice - Be able to have Xero automatically create a credit note if an invoice is negative. Show the invoice as paid in full and generate a credit note for the remainder. The credit can then be applied normally to other invoices on the customer account.

    Hi Darren, returning to your idea here we have released a change within new invoicing that'll suggest and enable you to create an Overpayment for any amount that exceeds the total of the invoice. Saving you the time of having to create this transaction separately. See more in my update on this idea. 🙂
