  1. It would be useful to look at an activity statement to see how much a certain contact has been invoiced regardless of whether they have paid or not. At present, I can only see outstanding balances.

  2. I have a Monzo business account that's reconciled with Xero. When I upload the receipts to Monzo they don't come over into Xero. Are you planning to add this as a feature? If not with Monzo do you offer this with any other accounts like Pleo? It would be good to attach the receipts in Monzo as they happen as they show in Monzo straight away.

    Hi Emma, you can connect your Monzo account with Xero to import your transactions. We have a bit of detail on the criteria for automatically importing data from your Monzo account and the steps of how to connect this in Xero Central.

  4. Hi xero team, all my friends are recommended to use Xero for my small buisiness, its so easy to ure and so on, but i found so hard to established. i still couldn't able to link my bank account. this message comes up when i tried to link, see in the attached files.

    Sorry to hear the trouble you were having with setting up, Ngawang. I hope you've managed to resolve this but if you still need any help our specialists at Xero Support will be happy to give you a hand.     You can already group by Account Type in the Trial Balance report, Chitrang! 🙂 Simply click the Grouping/Summarising option within the report where you'll see Account type as an option.

  6. Xero should show at the top of the screen or show a notification if you have an activity statement to submit (otherwise you have to specifically go into "Activity Statement" under "Accounting" to check).

    Hi June, we've made a recent improvement for Activity Statements to surface the payment due date for any lodged statements. You'll find this from the list of Activity statements within the Completed section, and when you open a Statement you'll see the payment dude date shown at the top of the statement along with payment options to help simplify the process. 😊

  7. I would like to request the Xero add the feature to be able to approve and send customer invoices even when they have reached there credit limit in the new invoicing. Currently this feature is available in the classic invoicing of Xero. Xero are forcing everyone to move to the new invoicing from September 2024.
    We use an external software for our customer invoicing and then import these into xero the following day after the sale has occurred and email the invoices to the customer. Moving to new invoicing currently means that for any customer that is over the credit…

  8. Not sure if this feature is already coming but would be great to be able to use a custom date range in the Business Snapshot reporting. We have clients who run on a 4-4-5 basis so would be great to be able to produce the report for their accounting period.

    Hi all

    To use custom date ranges, and get access to more advanced features, you can upgrade to Xero Analytics Plus. 

    You can do this either by upgrading your subscription to the Ultimate plan, or by selecting it as an add-on.

  9. It's currently not possible to export the Income Tax Self Assessment figures for the MTD for Income Tax quarterly submissions as a PDF to include them in a documents pack for client's approval via e-signature in Xero.

    This would be helpful from April 2026, so accountants can gain client's approval prior to submission with HMRC.

  10. I've always felt like your software was created by people who have never used the software themselves because some of the pathways and defaults just don't make sense. Note: I access Xero using the Chrome browser.
    Here are some changes that could be made that would really improve the user experience with Xero:

    1. When I'm entering bills, some date fields want me to enter the date like this: date/month/year and other times it wants me to enter it like this: month/date/year.  It's very frustrating having to switch back and forth randomly.

    Hi Jenna, we appreciate your feedback and the detail you've given is great. However, it's best that strange behaviour or performance issues are shared with our specialists at Xero Support who have tools to be able to investigate and escalated with our team if something isn't working as it should.

    There are a couple of your points I wanted to confirm here;

    • Bills to pay - you are able to set a default page for this. It sounds like it may currently be set to Paid bills in your org. You can set the default by clicking the 3 dots in the top right of the page where you'll see 'Default bill page' to select your preference
    • Default for bills due date - From the same place you can go to for invoice (Invoice settings) you can set a default Due date for your bills.

    I'd recommend raising a case…

  12. Report Codes ability to edit from Chart of Accounts, not separate area. I see that you have marked previous suggestions as completed, because you've added a button. It isn't a button we are seeking, it is the ability to edit directly within COA, rather than having to go elsewhere. The elsewhere is still a useful tool to help identify when clients have added their own codes, but from a click minimisation perspective why not have COA and Report Codes integrated, and provide us with a field to add our nominated report code.

    I use Zero mostly to run payments and upload them in the bank system. I am trying to make my work easier as currently Zero has very limited features and I have to do a lot of work manually. I need to be able to download payments files from Zero in CSV or XML format and then automatically upload them in bulk in our bank system.     Hi Kylie, while there's not a specific employee notes report, you can run the Payroll History with a few filters to get what you need here.

    When you run the report you can either run it for all employees, or select the specific employees from the drop down. Set the Type to 'Employees' and Apply.

    Once run you can then enter 'Notes' in the search to further filter and only show employees notes added to their records in the set date range. If needed you'll also be able to export the report to Excel or PDF.

It would be so much easier if as part of starting an account I had someone for the first month to get online with me who can see my screen and walk me through how to do all of the basics such as: 1.     Our Support team are able to offer some of this sort of guidance, and can answer specific questions. We also have some great getting started resources available on Xero Central with guidance, courses and content that can be a good starting point.

  17. We really need Xero to implement the capability for small businesses to submit their UK corporation tax return online, directly without an approved xero partner, BEFORE MARCH 2026 WHEN THE HMRC ONLINE SERVICE FOR SUBMITTING CORPORATION TAX RETURNS STOPS.
    Our main justification to pay for Xero is it saves he cost of an accountant!
    Currently HMRC lists Xero as an alternative software package for submitting tax returns after March 2026; but at the moment this is not an option in Xero unless you are a professional accountancy firm approved as a "Xero partner".

  18. JAX currently does not pull the customers due date from the customers file. Because that feature isn't live yet, JAX doesn't help our organization to be able to use JAX to create invoices. I wanted to bring it to your attention in the hopes your product team is working on it. You may already be working on it, I just didn't see it listed anywhere.

    Hi Brandy! Did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero via JAX?

    To get JAX to automatically use your contacts’ default due dates, simply prompt it once to apply the default dates set in each contact’s profile.

    From then on, JAX will create draft invoices that use those contacts’ specific due dates.

    Thanks for your feedback. We know that having the option to submit a bill or invoice for approval directly from the Xero Accounting app would significantly improve your workflow. As noted in the comments, users have the option to log into the web version of Xero on their mobile devices allowing them to submit bills and invoices for approval. ⭐ This allows you to perform the approval process on your phone, though it's not as seamless as a native app experience. At this time, we have to prioritize which features we bring to the mobile app. The primary focus of the Xero Accounting app is on quick, simple tasks, like creating basic invoices and submitting expenses. Complex workflows, such as bill and invoice approvals, are better suited for the desktop version due to their complexity and the constraints of the smaller mobile screen.We will continue to review and consider this…

    I hope this message finds you well.

    I would like to request a feature enhancement within the invoicing function in Xero. As a business that offers custom pricing to different customers, I often sell the same product at varying prices depending on the customer relationship, volume, or promotional discounts.

    Currently, when creating a new invoice in Xero, I am unable to view the previous selling price I offered to a specific customer for a particular product. This makes it difficult to maintain consistency and analyze pricing strategies.

    Thanks for coming to us with this Idea Dexter, I am happy to say this is already possible within Xero . While not specifically set out as you have described, the option to 'Add contacts last items' will populate the invoice with the last items so you can see the price that was charged etc the last time you invoiced the customer.
