  1. It's good to see you have extended the period before removing classic invoicing because I still need to revert to classic for certain features that are missing from the new system, namely:

    1. The ability to copy invoices to Bills and PO's - this is an important feature that I use regularly
    2. Send invoices via Xero network - again this is a feature that has been useful especially for invoicing between subsidiaries.
    3. Save and continue feature, I don't like the auto save feature because it continues to update the history and notes while I am still adding details to the invoice…

    Appreciate your feedback here, Helen. We already have existing idea that we've added your vote to for the first 3 points you've shared. You'll receive any updates of progress for these separately. I'll just adjust the title for your idea here to reflect your last point around the formatting of a contact name. We'll let you know if there is any change planned for this, here.

  2. 1st) I suggest on embedding the Validated QR code to the normal PDF invoice so that we can print multiple invoices at one go and our normal PDF invoice also consists of banking details and credit terms whereas the Validated E-Invoicing has none of these.

    2nd) I suggest on putting "Send to MyInvois" button instead of copy and paste the e-mail MyInvois@invoi.ci for every invoice. This is too troublesome.

    3rd) Regarding the Invoice interface on the Sent Column, perhaps can Xero make it into two instead? One is for the Validated E-Invoicing & the other one is for customer. The…

    Hi Maggie and others in community who've voted, we appreciate hearing the changes that'd help you when sending eInvoices with Xero.

    Just to note, as each point you've raised would be considered separately by our product teams it's best to have an idea for each of these that we can get a feel of the community support through - see more on the qualities of a good idea in our Xero Central article 🙂

  3. Currently there is no discount field on the credit note form which creates a fundamental flaw in the xero system. If you look at the attached invoice report you will notice that all credit note entries have no amounts in the discount column even though they all have discount. This overstates the discount amount when you calculate the total discounts because there are no discount credit amounts to correct the discount. We recommend adding a discount section to the credit notes form to correct this as the report is incorrect without this.

  4. Activity Statement report - currently the activity statements need to be finalised in order and if not then the unfiled amounts option is turned off for good, with no way to change this. The current workaround is to delete all previous statements and then finalise them in order. This means we lose history, and particularly when the client is managing the BAS returns, we need that history to stay. Also there is no way to tell how far back into history the error is occuring. We need a manual override where we can switch on the unfiled amounts, so…

  5. Can we please have an option to run a report for contacts incl Suppliers for example, where we can then audit new suppliers for a time period. Links into other ideas posted here to also see last active/used date. Similiar to the account transaction reports but to be able to run one for Contacts/suppliers would be super helpful for audits. Currently xero does not support any such thing, only the history & notes which is basically useless as it does not have the capacity to show or export more than 1000 entries, so when we do more than that in…

    Hi Emma , thanks for sharing your feedback and idea. For tracking payable transactions (bills) by contact, we suggest using the Supplier Bill Activity Report or filtering the Account Transactions Report by contact and payable invoices. If you require setup assistance, please raise a case with our support team for guidance.Regarding the 'last active/used date' feature: This functionality is not currently available in Xero. We have moved your idea to the Gaining Support section.We encourage you to share this idea with others to help build traction for its development.

  6. You should be able to create a Bill Credit note directly from the FILES folder of your profile. This way when you go in to check the Credit note, you can create it straight away, rather than have to go out, in to Bills, and then have to create it from there.
    OR when you send an 'invoice'/attachment through to your draft bills, you should be able to change it to be a bill credit note rather than a bill

  8. Display the Credit Note/s applied to an invoice and payments made by date on a PDF document. Why is it that we can view these in the system but we cannot see this when printing invoices.
    It would be so helpful to have this for clients to view exactly what they have paid and exactly what credit notes have been applied to an invoice.

    If it is already on the systems for us to see, is it that hard to reflect this on the printed /emailed versions of invoices?

  9. Reference column in the Allocate Credit to Invoice view.

  10. To apply a prompt payment discount/settlement discount to an Accounts Receivable invoice from the match items screen in the Bank Reconciliation.

    Purpose: So users can offer early discounts to vendors/suppliers without needing to do manual credit notes or editing the invoices.

  14. I would like to put fixed asset categories (plant and machinery, motor vehicles etc) as the columns, and have Cost, Depreciation, NBV - bfwds and cfwds etc in the rows underneath. See attached.

    As far as I was aware it was standard to have the fixed asset note in this format so was surprised this was not already a functionality,

  15. Have less white space on new invoicing as it fills screen. The notes section which is in contacts 4000 chars make visable and editable on the new invoice page so we can see it whilst creating and invoice. We dont then have to keep jumping from one page to the next.

    Hi team, taking a lot of our customers feedback onboard we've just released a new line item grid that encompasses many improvements our customers have been asking for. With this change, our product team have optimised padding, font size and column width, reducing the amount of white space and providing a more compact view. For many customers this means less scrolling and better visibility of the contents of fields like Account and Tax Rate which are now wrapped so you can see the full contents. 

    We value all the feedback we've received from customers as we keep developing this experience. Please continue to add your votes to what matters most to you, our product teams continuously lean into your feedback and trending ideas from the forums here as they plan more improvements.

  16. Weekly Payroll calendars and get paid monthly.

    It would be advantageous if timesheets can be submitted daily and approved daily.
    Reason: approved cannot remember hours staff worked last 30 days. approver has to make a note of hours and then refer to notes when approving timesheets submitted.

  17. Xero Reporting - Please add functionality to Right Align text in custom tables in notes.

    Hi team, we appreciate the conversation however we want to be open that we don't have any short term plans for changing the export of Manual Journals in the near term.

    Not getting a lot of community support over time, this idea will soon be removed. If it something you feel very passionate about you are welcome to restart and see if there is renewed interest from the community.

  19. Honestly, This is very frustrating that we need to manually allocate the bill credits against the outstanding Invoices, it's taking a lot of time to do so, I highly request Xero to please come up with a solution for this

  20. It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a description/note to conversion balances. For example, if a creditor balance relates to a specific loan, it would be useful to be able to note this somewhere. Currently, reports only show 'conversion balance' as the description for the transaction and it isn't possible to add a description to the conversion journal. It makes it difficult to keep track of historic debtors and creditors and this information needs to be kept elsewhere, duplicating work.
