  2. Activity Statement report - currently the activity statements need to be finalised in order and if not then the unfiled amounts option is turned off for good, with no way to change this. The current workaround is to delete all previous statements and then finalise them in order. This means we lose history, and particularly when the client is managing the BAS returns, we need that history to stay. Also there is no way to tell how far back into history the error is occuring. We need a manual override where we can switch on the unfiled amounts, so…

  3. Ability to have an expand and collapse button for pays previously posted and presented under Pay Run History.

    After using Xero for a number of years, locating a previous pay run becomes looking for a needle in a haystack as this section is just a swamp of pays.

    Grouping in payroll financial years or having a date filter would assist greatly also.

    Hi Yvonne, thanks so much for raising this idea and sharing your thoughts with us. We totally see how useful it’d be to have the option to expand or collapse pay run history, or group it by financial year in the Payroll product.

    As pay run history builds up, it can definitely get a bit tedious trying to scroll through and find what you need. Having a more organised view would really help when you’re digging into older payroll data.

    As a temporary workaround, you may find it helpful to use Ctrl + F (or Command + F on Mac) to quickly search the screen for a specific date or payroll year. We know it’s not a perfect fix, especially when there’s a lot of data, but it might make things a little quicker in the meantime.

  4. To apply a prompt payment discount/settlement discount to an Accounts Receivable invoice from the match items screen in the Bank Reconciliation.

    Purpose: So users can offer early discounts to vendors/suppliers without needing to do manual credit notes or editing the invoices.

  6. I would like to put fixed asset categories (plant and machinery, motor vehicles etc) as the columns, and have Cost, Depreciation, NBV - bfwds and cfwds etc in the rows underneath. See attached.

    As far as I was aware it was standard to have the fixed asset note in this format so was surprised this was not already a functionality,

  8. Have less white space on new invoicing as it fills screen. The notes section which is in contacts 4000 chars make visable and editable on the new invoice page so we can see it whilst creating and invoice. We dont then have to keep jumping from one page to the next.

    Hi team, taking a lot of our customers feedback onboard we've just released a new line item grid that encompasses many improvements our customers have been asking for. With this change, our product team have optimised padding, font size and column width, reducing the amount of white space and providing a more compact view. For many customers this means less scrolling and better visibility of the contents of fields like Account and Tax Rate which are now wrapped so you can see the full contents.

  9. Create an undo or revert option for edits made to invoices. We can already see the history of changes made to an invoice, so why can't there be a option to undo or revert to a previous revision of the invoice?

  10. You should be able to create a Bill Credit note directly from the FILES folder of your profile. This way when you go in to check the Credit note, you can create it straight away, rather than have to go out, in to Bills, and then have to create it from there.
    OR when you send an 'invoice'/attachment through to your draft bills, you should be able to change it to be a bill credit note rather than a bill

  11. Weekly Payroll calendars and get paid monthly.

    It would be advantageous if timesheets can be submitted daily and approved daily.
    Reason: approved cannot remember hours staff worked last 30 days. approver has to make a note of hours and then refer to notes when approving timesheets submitted.

  12. Xero Reporting - Please add functionality to Right Align text in custom tables in notes.

    Also, Lots of white space on Depreciaiton schedules making text very small. Add functionality to drag column lines much like excel.

  13. It would be really helpful if there was a way of adding a description/note to conversion balances. For example, if a creditor balance relates to a specific loan, it would be useful to be able to note this somewhere. Currently, reports only show 'conversion balance' as the description for the transaction and it isn't possible to add a description to the conversion journal. It makes it difficult to keep track of historic debtors and creditors and this information needs to be kept elsewhere, duplicating work.

    Hi team, we appreciate the conversation however we want to be open that we don't have any short term plans for changing the export of Manual Journals in the near term.

    Not getting a lot of community support over time, this idea will soon be removed. If it something you feel very passionate about you are welcome to restart and see if there is renewed interest from the community.

  15. Honestly, This is very frustrating that we need to manually allocate the bill credits against the outstanding Invoices, it's taking a lot of time to do so, I highly request Xero to please come up with a solution for this

  17. IDEA - CIS suffered report to calculate the CIS suffered correctly.

    ISSUE - If you apply a credit note to an invoice that has both CIS labour and CIS materials, Xero does not calculate the CIS suffered correctly. Even though the credit note is coded to the correct nominal code, Xero doesn't recognise this. This causes the CIS suffered report to reduce the deduction amount which is incorrect. This means the figure you submit to HMRC is lower than it should be. Meaning less of a refund of CIS suffered than it actually should be.

    I hope this message finds you well.

    I would like to request a feature enhancement within the invoicing function in Xero. As a business that offers custom pricing to different customers, I often sell the same product at varying prices depending on the customer relationship, volume, or promotional discounts.

    Currently, when creating a new invoice in Xero, I am unable to view the previous selling price I offered to a specific customer for a particular product. This makes it difficult to maintain consistency and analyze pricing strategies.

The changes made to the new bills view is inefficient when when viewing a column, if it is a credit note or had a credit note applied to it the icon creates an indent thus making it harder to follow with the eye. In addition the previous easy to locate yellow icon that did not create an indent has been replaced with a blue icon that blends with other Xero Coloring.

    Hi Fiona, appreciate not way you'd envisaged here, however there has been an update that will help you easily locate your Credit Notes when in Bills. 

    You'll find under the Filter option you now have the ability to filter by Credit Note, Overpayment and or Prepayments which helps quickly narrow down your view to just these documents types. 

  20. Draft Bills - Ability to create Credits from Draft Bill sent directly to Xero email

    Suppliers email credits as well as Bills, why not have the ability to process a bill or credit through this area, a supplier is not going to invoice credits to one email address and invoices to another. Why can we not select if it is a bill or credit and process.

    Purpose: to allow processing of credits through the Draft Bills seamless

    Hi community, thank you to everyone who's shared and supported the ability to email credit notes to Xero.

    We understand why you'd like to be able to automate the flow and entry of Credit Notes in Xero, however this isn't something we have plans of developing within Xero right now.

    As mentioned in my last update it's possible to currently automate entry of Credit Notes in Xero, by publishing these through Hubdoc -You can find steps to connecting Hubdoc to your Xero organisation, or detail on publishing Credit notes, on Xero Central.

    If there are any changes put in place for this, we'll let you know.
