  1. Ability to report on projects that have nil activity. Currently they do not show in the Project Summary Report until activity has been entered.

  2. A report to show transactions that have been posted including the account code and the projects that the transactions have been assigned to with data parameters.

    We reconcile the sales, direct costs and gross profit amounts from the project summary report to the same amounts in the profit and loss report but currently there is no way to identify differences when they arise. The above report will really be helpful!

  3. Will there be something developed (in the works) on sharing the mapping report with clients, so they know which codes are lumped together in the P&L and Balance Sheet? This seems to be a common inefficiency where they ask the question and we have to break down each code and manually provide the info, as they don't have access to our reporting templates / edit layout function.   4. Ability to set default reporting options (default to show account numbers, specify no. of results per page, your own date preferences), along with favourited reports - but have it linked to your Xero user profile rather than the client's file.

    I work on multiple files a day and don't want to change their file settings - but manually changing to my preferred reports every time the page refreshes is exhausting.

  5. We need a report that is cash basis and can have number of items sold during a time period. This report also needs revenue totals and allow a tracking category. Essentially this is to produce a report to determine Royalties that are due on some products that are sold.

  6. In the old Xero reports as part of the management report, it was possible to run a report that showed month by month actuals for the FY to date then the budget month by the month for the rest of the financial year to give a full year forecast.

    However, in the new Xero reports, this functionality has gone. Try and write my own report but the dates don't update automatically regardless of the reporting date you select (as confirmed by a Xero specialist)

    So I can write a report that shows 4 columns - Jan - Apr actuals, then…

  8. It would be helpful to have the reports, once exported to Excel, already formatted, so that the Nil values are shown as a 'dash' as opposed to '0'. This is particularly useful when there is a large report or several reports with lots of data. It is more efficient when it comes to reviewing the figures, and saves having to custom format the individual reports. We have also had clients, who still prefer reports on Excel, ask for reports in this format, it is time consuming having to change, especially when it is a large reporting pack.

  9. Report Fields
    Would be nice to be able to auto populate the net profit into new reports as older report packs did.

    The older report packs had a net profit before tax / net profit after tax field option how has an "upgrade" to new report lost this feature?

The attached post indicates that Xero has delivered the ability to hide archived files by unticking the "Show Archived" box in the account transactions report and then saving it as a custom report. I have tried this, but it doesn't work. Every time I go into my custom report which should have the Show Archived box unticked it is always ticked and the archived accounts are showing. Could you please look at this again.

    Hi Sally, appreciate the image back to the earlier update you're referring to here. Is it possible that the custom report you're using was saved prior to the update and needs updating with any new setting changes and then saving again to hold these for future use? 

    If you're still finding the same behaviour, I'd highly recommend raising a case with our team of specialists at Support so they can dive into why settings you've saved in a custom report aren't being applied. Thanks 

  12. Is there the ability to make the cashflow report into an accrual report also so we have one report that can show p&l and capital expenditure with an area for adjusted accounts payable/receivable still outstanding and then projecting the bank balance.

    Currently we use a 12-month P&L and then have to do a separate balance sheet and it doesn't quite hit the mark.

  13. For accountants and bookeepers who charge fees based on number of transaction lines being recorded it will be great if a simple report can indicate the number / count of transactions recorded by each Source in a given period.

    This will also be helpful for new accountants and book keeper who are sourcing for clients who are using Xero to share that details so a smart quotation can be provided

    Hi Manesh, have you tried the new Account transactions report? When you run this report you'll be able to see how many items are in the report, noted in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen.

  15. To be able to view at a glance the 'period taken from a customer to pay invoices' from the Due Date to when the funds have reached the supplier's bank account. This is instead of exporting the Xero report in an excel sheet and then adding a formula to calculate the difference between the two dates. Surely with all the information already stored in the Xero account, this option shouldn't be too difficult to add. Thank you.

  16. Sales Tax Audit report is produced only on the organization's base currency.

    To be able to produce the Sales Tax Audit report in other currencies as well.

    Reason: to be able to extract the report for organisations registered in countries of which currency is other than the Company's base (if also required for the authorities.)

  17. When importing a text block report from Figured into Xero annual accounts template, we have no control over the page breaks. This often results in undesirable page breaks. An ability to add page breaks into a text block would fix this.

  19. The new Account Summary Report needs the Account Code in the drop down list. Currently it only has the names of the accounts. There is no option to show or hide the Account Code. Sometimes I work with the account codes and not names. I need the ability to type the code in as well.
