  1. Xero Expenses - Currently there is no report to get information on expense claims needs approving. (by staff member, period etc) It would be useful to have a report which can be filtered rather then logging in to screen and view all. Thanks!

  2. VAT201 Report (ZA) - A SARS requirement is to have sequential invoice numbers. The invoice numbers are not displayed on the VAT201 report, only the customer reference number, if there is no reference number, then the customer invoice number is displayed. Can we please have a column for the customer invoice number or only have the customer invoice number listed.

  3. Most companies have different treatment of accounting depreciation and tax allowances on the same assets. Having these setup and maintained in Xero would be a game changer.

    Also: make FAR export dates sync up with regional settings - it's enormously frustrating having a FAR download in MM/DD/YYYY when one works in example DD/MM/YYYY

  4. When running the Transactions by box number tab of the GST F5 Return, the Invoice Number will not be shown if we have already entered a reference on the invoice.

    If there is no reference entered, Xero will then show the Invoice Number under the 'Reference' column instead. Screenshot attached.

    This makes it difficult to do checking as most users do use the reference when creating invoice but showing the reference usually does not have much significance to the accountant/bookkeeper who is doing the checks for GST submission.

    We do hope that the Invoice Number column can also be shown…

  5. Reporting - Account Transactions - Group by Contact Group - Aged Receivable Transactions

    When I run the Account Transactions new report with Grouping as Contact Group, the option to add opening and closing balances is blocked. Is it possible to enable this so that we can use the report in lieu of a monthly activity statement for the Group.

  6. VAT reporting in the EU includes ICP reporting for sales to other EU countries (aka pre-Brexit EC Sales reporting). Part of the reporting requirement is to supply the customers VAT number on the ICP return. The customers VAT number is supplied at the time of invoicing and is included on the invoice and in the customer contact details so is an existing field in Xero. Please please can you sort your system so that when we are bulk importing our annual jobs that it is possible to import the budget also - I have asked for this for many years but to date nothing has changed. I hope that now that you have finally updated the system, after several years of empty promises, perhaps this is now a possiblity. It is far too time consuming to enter the budget manually with over 1000 jobs and would speed up our invoicing if the budget field was imported instead of having to look elsewhere for the fee.…

  8. Filter history and notes by Action and display sales invoice number. Enable the report to export the to Google Sheets/Excel.

  9. When I run a supplier bill activity report it would be HELPFUL if the description column actually contained the description of the invoices, or at least the start of it. For example, say a supplier is for office rent then I put in the description what period or month the rent is for. Then, if I run a supplier activity report I would expect the ******** description column to show me the helpful description I entered. Instead I get INV Ref: xxxxxx which repeats the xxxxxx from the reference column next to it. Noe useful at all, and the info…

  10. When you download a P&L / BS report (whether old or new templates), and include comparative periods, there should be an option to choose left to right, or right to left. If i have downloading for Jul-22, with 12 months of comparatives, i want the oldest month to be on the left, and Jul-22 to be all the way to the right. That is typically how all excel financial models are built, and the basis of these models is historical financials.

  12. Small Business Corporations (SBC's) can, under certain circumstances, depreciate assets in a 3-year schedule as follows:

    • 1st year: 50%
    • 2nd year: 30%
    • 3rd year: 20%

    See the attached document, under 4.2.

    Currently, this is not possible (I checked with Support).

    I expect this to work within Xero, as it is a regular tax rule in South Africa.

    Adding this schedule for South Africa would be extremely useful and important, as we now have to do the depreciation outside of Xero.

  16. Have the ability to create more than one report style (colour and logo) so when you export to a 'Styled PDF' there are choices beyond 'no styling' and your default.

    Hi team, we appreciate interest in being able to create more customised layouts when it comes to the styling of the PDF's of your reports.

    Being upfront this isn't a feature we have immediate plans around but we'd like to keep tracking the interest from community around, through this idea.

  18. I would like to see the ability to customise the Fixed Asset Schedule. Currently it defaults to alphabetical order. In order for us to display the Fixed Asset types in a more logical order we need to name the fixed assets 1- Land, 2 - Buildings etc. We cannot add page breaks either which would be appreciated. We should be able to Edit the layout as we can with the other reports.

  19. Why doesn't Xero display the currency symbol (like a $) in any of the financial reports like Balance Sheet, Income Statement, etc.? We get only the plain numbers without knowing they are in U.S. dollars (in my case) and make these basic financial reports harder than necessary to read.
