  1. Xero Project feature idea

    • drill down transaction from Xero Project reporting
    • Report template Xero Project layout can not be saved to custom report template
    • assign project to Payroll
    • Inactive jobs, still showing in the list although its in the different section, in my opinion the inactive project should not show up at all, should make the same like employee list where there is a dongle to show inactive Projects.

    Appreciate you have a few ideas for Projects here. We try to keep 1 idea per thread so others understand what they are voting for and we can clearly share the information back with our Product teams. 

    I've changed the title of your idea here to reflect your first idea and welcome you to create new ones for the other ideas that you've suggested.  

  2. On Drafts there would be say 10 lines which is actually all for the same asset.

    Say I am building a product store. Using 10 different suppliers. Store, Erection, Floor, Building inside etc. I want to map all those together and register as 1 asset when done. This way the auditors see the whole store as one asset. Not 10 lines that I must show them. For instance "Thats the floor in that storage building"

  3. An inventory report - similar to the inventory item summary, but that allows the user to compare figures to prior periods. This will allow retailers and even manufacturers, to easily track seasonal trends in sales.

  4. There is no options to insert automatic date formatting into the reports at the client level. When the "current date" insert field doesn't work you have to manually enter the date all the time. It would be easier to be able to insert "current date" field.

  6. Ability to generate Profit and Loss appropriation reports in Xero.

    Purpose: Users can see figures of profit for a year, income tax expense, dividends paid, retained earnings from prior year.

    Hi everyone, currently there is an appropriation statement available to Partners in report templates for Australia. Being open we don't have plans to add this at the client level. However, you an create your own with the Blank report. You could add a schedule and pull in the appropriate accounts.

  7. Hi Xero Team,

    We are in the process of registering Xero as our Computerized Books of Accounts with the BIR. In line with this, we would like to share some suggestions that may help Xero meet the BIR requirements.

    For report generation, it would be helpful if the footer could include:

    The type of book,

    A timestamp and date,

    The name of the person who generated the report, and

    The software version number.

    At present, the footer only shows the date and type of report. Adding the generator’s name, exact time, and version number would make the reports more aligned…

    Please note Xero operates on a continuous delivery model, which means we're constantly updating and improving our software. Unlike traditional software Xero doesn't have version numbers or release dates so we are unable to provide this information.

  8. Ability for AU orgs that use pooling in Fixed Assets to access the new Fixed Assets experience and make use of features like being able to attach a file to an asset.

  9. Remove all account codes check box upon financial statement publishing

    We need this check box added when we publish our EOFY financial statements - a similar box already exists to remove all decimal places yet we have to manually go to the trading statement, income statement, balance sheet and equity accounts and manually turn off account codes on each page.

    A simple box to remove all account codes when publishing just like the decimal place box would be fantastic

  10. request for additional columns available in customised account transactions report

  11. Could you move the navigation buttons in the Financial Statements format (or any format with multiple pages) to the sticky bar at the bottom so you don't have to scroll to the top of the page to move between pages. some format pages are extremely long and it is a waste of precious time

    Hi team, appreciate the interest and raising of the idea here, however we want to be open that this isn't something we have plans of developing for. 

    Atm, if you're quite far down the page you could use the home button on your keyboard to quickly navigate back to the top. 

  12. Recommendation is to add graphs as a report on Xero. Clients can see their turnover an example over a few months which can be sent to them direct from Xero !

    Is there a specific report or reports you'd like to do this with, Suveera. 

    Xero analytics is one way of getting more of a visual view of an organisations performance, or alternatively you'll find there are a couple of reports like the Income and Expense by Contact reports that enable you to show a chart of your top 10 customers or suppliers. 

  13. The assurance dashboard has been around for a while and it's great to have a number of checks accessible in the same place. However, there doesn't appear to have been much development in this area i.e. we are still not able to export out reports from the Assurance Dashboard.

    A client reached out today looking for an easy to run report showing bank account number changes. This is an important item to check on for businesses, particularly entities that have bank accounts loaded into Xero by multiple people, use batch payments etc. Accessing this information through the assurance dashboard is…

    Hi everyone, appreciate the feedback on my last question. I've slightly amended the title of this idea. As a bit of an update from when I last posted we have actually made an update in History & Notes as I know some of you were interested in - You can now Export to PDF or Excel from this screen and you'll find there are filter options to help you zone into the items you're most interested in looking at. 

  14. Accepted Quote Report

    Great to see that we can now look at a report for accepted quotes but the report is not filterable by the accepted date - please can this be added to the date search for quote reports within Quotes through Receivable Invoice Details and Summary reports.
    At the moment the report isn't right as you can only search by due date and created date which is no good - the accepted date needs to be a searchable date or the quote filtered by accepted quotes is useless if you ant to see what quotes have been accepted…

  16. Currently the custom Pool creation option does not allow for the specific depreciation requirements of a software development pool - First year to be Nil, the second , third and forth years at 30% and the final fifth year of 10%. Without this function the depreciation for these assets needs to be calculated manually.

  17. We often need to generate Project reports for the time period 'Project to Date'.

    This isn't an option in the Project Summary report. Can this be built-in as a further standard option?

  18. Ability to add KPIs to executive summary report e.g. Purchases/Sales percentage for the hospo industry and wages/sales % - these should be at 30% or lower so it would be great to add these into the executive summary report

  19. Be able to run depreciation from 6th to 5th of a month for businesses that have a financial year end of 5 April.
    Whilst you can do this for a 1st year of trading, we have found that you are unable to run it for any year after and after checking with xero, you are unable to run depreciation if the fixed asset start date is not the 1st of the month.
