  1. Been trailing the new reports format and when setting up a custom group account layout for a Profit and Loss report we can't use this layout across Common Formats of Profit and Loss. This feature was available in the old reports that once a custom layout was created it worked on all formats. Been advised that would need to create a separate custom report for every Common Format

  2. Xero Reporting - Please add functionality to Right Align text in custom tables in notes.

    Also, Lots of white space on Depreciaiton schedules making text very small. Add functionality to drag column lines much like excel.

  4. I propose adding contact account numbers to account transaction reports in Xero. This enhancement will enable users to easily link and reconcile transactions with specific contacts, even when working with downloaded data in formats like Excel.

    By incorporating contact account numbers in account transactions reports, users can streamline transaction reconciliation. This feature simplifies the process of cross-referencing transactions and contacts, particularly when utilising downloaded data outside of Xero.

  5. After grouping accounts using the 'edit layout' function it would be great to be able to either expand or collapse each group while viewing the report, rather than having to go back into the 'edit layout' section to change the way the group appears.

  6. We need the ability to see how many miles an employee has travelled within the tax year. This is so that we can follow HMRC guidelines in respect of the pence per mile that is paid to the employee. Currently the rules state that up to 10,00 miles can be reimbursed at 45p per mile and thereafter this rate is reduced to 25p per mile.

    This could also include the ability to set a default rate to avoid any errors made by the employee and to then generate an alert once the employee exceeds 10,000 miles and automatically reduce the…

  8. The 300 line cap for importing journals is completely pointless and shortsighted. With MTD rules requiring digital links, importing of journals/transactions has become vital, yet Xero still retains this nonsensical limit. We are forced to manually intervene and adjust where journals are too long (makes a mockery of MTD). Excel can handle over a million lines (and has done for ~20 years now). Sage manages 999 (still limited in this day in age). Somewhere between the two would be great!

  10. Currently the report's filters only available to filter thing that " contain " in the respective categories. Can you please also include the option "do not contain" - so that we could produce report to omit things that we would not wish to include. Thank you

  11. As an accountant I use a trial balance for every file I open.
    Can the trial balance be set as a standard report/ automatically added to favourites in the accounting option or each user be able to chose a standard group of favourite reports for all clients - Pain having to go into each new file i access and add to my favourites.

  12. Currently the SB Pool Detail report contains a large number of columns and the report appears cramped and difficult to read due to the smaller font size.

    It would be helpful to have the ability to change the column order and remove excess or un-needed columns, as is possible for the other tax and accounting depreciation schedules.

  13. Get rid of (or just hide) "Tracking Transfers" when printing PDFs of manual journals. Seeing descriptions are more important than the background tracking.

  14. Ability to show opening stock & closing stock closing amounts in the P&L on a monthly, quarterly etc basis.

    A function to allow to pick a Balance Sheet code or P&L code for stock and specify what balance to report in the P&L or trading account. ie. when running May 2023 monthly reports, the ability to specify that the opening stock is the stock on hand balance at 30 April 2023 and the closing stock is the stock on hand balance at 31 May 2023.

  15. A button you can click to reverse the order of the columns in Reporting
    Typically the reports show the month in question closest to the account descriptions and then the prior months in columns to the right but we'd like to look at our current year starting with the earliest month in the column next to the account descriptions and the remainder of the year in columns to the right. This is particularly useful when building out projected cashflows.

    You can re-order the columns of your report with the layout editor, Robbie. 🙂

    Once you've got the report set up as you like you can Save as Custom to easily access the report with this layout. 

    If you're like to make this the default layout there is also an option for this - see our help here & here

  16. So annoying that my published reports remove decimals points every time. PLEASE MAKE THIS CHANGE. Published reports should be saved as is!!! Do not modify my published report XERO! We produce hundreds of these reports every month and have to keep adding the decimal back. This is driving our firm insane!!!

  17. The ability to report on items sold each month (by quantity) on a month by month basis

  18. Ability to have multi-VAT tracking for EU companies.

    Purpose: Because lots of companies in the UK are also registered VAT in other EU countries. So having this feature will make users easily calculate their tax.

    Thank you for your suggestion regarding multi-VAT tracking and or filing for EU countries, including Ireland. Currently, Xero supports only UK VAT returns, so tracking VAT in multiple countries requires separate Xero organisations. Also features like direct integration with EU tax authorities such as Ireland’s Revenue Online Service (ROS) (specifically) are not available at this time, and multi-country VAT support is not currently in our development pipeline. For Irish VAT requirements, you may wish to consider Parolla, which offers direct ROS integration and features tailored for Irish businesses.

    We appreciate your feedback and will continue to review suggestions as we plan future updates.

  19. Please include a "GST Calculation Worksheet" in the Activity Statement report for the new BAS experience based on the same format of the GST Calculation Worksheet which is included with the previous BAS experience.

    Appreciate the feedback on the use you found with the previous worksheet. 

    With the newer BAS while there is no GST calculation worksheet, you can run a Custom Date report to get YTD figures, which can be accessed through the Activity Statement dashboard.

    Being open we don't have plans of adding the worksheet to the new BAS report at this stage, however we'll continue to get a sense of interest on this here and share if there's any change.  

  20. The filter right now only allows to select all or select/deselect some, but sometimes it would be easier to be able to just exclude something (an account, a group of accounts, a contact, an invoice etc).
