  1. There are two concerns regarding XERO Blue Report extraction. One is to apply a page break after each ledger when extracting general ledger details while selecting all ledgers. The other is to extract the transaction list by edit period. This will be helpful in identifying differences between the same report taken for two different periods.

  2. Please can advisers have a more in depth way to search for a particular change. The history & notes filters need an "edited date range" and a filter to search in a particular area e.g. "Bank", "Bills" Invoices"

    e.g. for context:
    Scenario:
    Bank was fully reconciled after a conversion to Xero and remained so up to the end of November 2025 with reconciliation report printed. i.e. at the beginning of December 2025 the November 2025 bank reconciliation fully balanced and matched to the bank statement.

  3. Show Depreciaiton in Cash P&L report;

    A Cash Accounting P&L is NOT a Cash Flow statement. Xero is targeted towards Small Businesses who legitimately use Cash Accounting, but the P&L doesn't include Depreciation, and importing into Xero Tax also excludes it. This is fundamentally wrong.

    Xero cannot do Basic Accounting. I would think you would want to fix this. But no.

  4. End of Page - Top of Page - I think Xero is very lacking in being able to quickly go to top or bottom of any page, especially long lists like 200 transactions for example in GST lists.

  5. Open the API for expenses so they can be approved via workflows in the same ways as you have for invoices and bills.

  6. When you log in you have an option to change the date view for the system. Default would be the current day - however you could change it to 31.12.25 which means that when preparing year end accounts it would make it simpler for running reports, making adjustments etc

  7. Please can Xero improve the dashboard notifications regarding VAT returns so that it shows that the VAT return has been submitted. This would avoid me having heart failure when I log in and see the information below! Our VAT is collected by direct debit, so I know if it is submitted, its HMRC direct debit taking its time, and not my mistake!

  8. Please can you include an option to be able to view the budget further than the previous 12 months. I am trying to compare my full FY 2025, year-end 31 December 2025 to my full year's actual to report to our Board of Directors. Currently the Budget Manager in Xero only allows you to go back 12 months from the current date. I am therefore unable to generate the report required by my Board.

  9. From the P&L report when opening a specific income/expense account, the list of transactions under that account shows at the bottom "Showing items" number, this number includes the first line (title) and last two totals, which can be misleading if one wants to count the number of transactions.
    I'd suggest the "showing items" number to only indicate number of transactions.

  10. A way of converting quotes accepted into order acknowledgements and / or delivery notes before creating the Invoice would be helpful. I use a work around with templates, but it shows prices which you don't really need or want on delivery notes and the attachment PDF is still labelled as a quote.

    Hi Rob thanks for sharing this here. We can see how having an order acknowledgment or delivery note upon quote acceptance could be useful to have. We will open this idea up to get more support from the community. Just to add on to your last two points, you can edit the way the PDF attachment shows. You can also create DOCX templates, so that the price does not show. If you require further support with this, please do not hesitate to raise a case with our support team.

  11. Add toggle on tax return cover page at daytime contact number section for client phone number or agent phone number similar to postal address and banking details and have information from client manager auto filled for phone number and email address

  13. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

    With the old style and the new style, there doesn't appear to be a way to show the journal with GST rate - it only shows the total GST as an extra line at the bottom of the journal.

    And while I'm requesting features that'll never be implemented, why not offer the ability to show journals Gross of GST (as well as the GST rate).

  14. The statutory profit and loss account includes the wording "cost of raw materials and consumables" in the Cost of Sales section. This makes no sense for my clients in the service industry. Can we not have a tag named "Cost of Sales" or "Purchases" which is more generic and applies better to direct expenses attributable to sales in the service industry?

  16. When adding a new client to Practice Manager or HQ and creating a Xero Organisation to link to said client, the basic Organisation details (e.g. ABN, contact details, address details) should automatically pull through to save double entry. This should also work vice versa, when you create the Xero Organisation with all the client's contact details, then create the client in Practice Manager or HQ and link the two, these details should pull through to the corresponding details in PM/HQ

  17. Edit the layout of account transaction reports (custom reports) or customise it so that the expenses ("Spend money") get subtracted from the income ("Receive money"). This would make custom reports endlessly more useful as they would show what profit or loss there is for each custom report.

  18. We deal with Overseas companies and subsidiaries, Xero does not have recognise Overseas company number usually starts with FC123456, Xero does no recognise this and create corporation tax return. This is another deficiency of Xero which makes me look at other software.

    Thanks for sharing this idea. We've reviewed this and now other users can add their votes and comments to support it.

    For now, there's a way you can get a report on the manual journals, but without listing the user details.

    To do this:

    1) Run the Account Transactions Report for the relevant date range.

    2) Click the Accounts dropdown and click Select All.

    3) Use the Filter option to select Source = Manual Journal.

    4) Click Update to generate the report.

    Although this report won't list the users, you can click into journals to view their details, the History & Notes will show who entered it.

  20. Entities often need to view business reports in calendar year, as opposed to Financial year.
    Increasingly, revenue, expense and profit performance and targets at management and operational level are considered by calendar year.
