    Hi team, we appreciate the interest in being able to change the reply to email when sending an invoice. This isn't something we have in our plans atm, but our product team are aware of this idea and we will continue to gain interest from our community for this here.

    Just to confirm currently within invoicing you'll be able to see the current reply to email from the preview of the invoice on the right hand side. If you'd like to change this before sending you'll need to hop across to the Email Settings. Thanks

    This is a really important feature for Accounts Receivable management. The current "send by user" setting is not appropriate for all industries.
    Some small businesses have two services under one ABN, e.g., a plumbing service and a hairdresser. A drop-down added to the email invoice screen to select the "send from" email address so you could select send from "accounts@plummer.com.au" OR "accounts@hairdresser.com.au" would be perfect. Everything else in the Email Invoice screen works great - from the drop-down for templates. Please add a drop-down for "Sent From/Reply to" email address. Then it will be excellent.     Hi community, thank you for all the engagement and we can see the growing interest in improvements to help simplify your view of information on the new Homepage and navigate important information and insights with more ease.

    Right now, our team have a few pieces of work underway intended to help with some of the pain points that have been raised here these include:

    • More options for the sizing of widgets so you can reduce these frames and better position this information on your screen
    • More customisation of information within a widget like being able to remove visuals
    • Improving the experience of moving widgets when editing the homepage to make it more obvious when dragging and dropping them to different positions on the page

    We’ve also roadmapped further changes for later this year, once everyone is on the new experience. I’ll share more updates as we progress.

    Hi everyone, appreciate the tractions on this idea.

    It's clear that having key tax and compliance dates visible on the dashboard would make it much easier to plan ahead and ensure due dates are met. When those deadlines live outside of Xero, it can mean extra admin and more mental load than necessary.

    I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can capture interest and share with the product team how valuable this added visibility would be.

    Homepage - Activity Statement Widget.

    This widget should show the total amount due as per the draft or finalised Activity Statement and the due date as per if they self lodge or lodge via an Accounting or Bookkeeping agent. A widget with no amount information is of no use to anyone.

    Thank you to everyone that's joined and shared feedback on our new homepage experience, here. Continuing to review and take this on board our team are working on some updates to the Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets.

    The intention is to offer more flexibility in the size of these widgets with the ability to reduce and remove the graph from showing.

    I'll come back to share more as this progresses.

    Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate the feedback we've been receiving about the sizing of widgets and desire for more flexibility with these.

    Our product teams are currently working on updates to allow resizing of more of the widgets on the Homepage.

    There are considerations that weigh into what's possible' like what information sits within each widget.

    The resizing will work in the same way as what has been provided with the Cash in and out, and Chart of accounts watch list widget.

    Hi team, discovery went well and has provided good insights to our product team. Things have now moved along and I can share that we're working on a solution that'll enable you to schedule when an invoice is sent, and the ability to cancel a scheduled send if needed. 🙂

    Hi community, your ongoing interest in giving users the ability to reconcile without viewing account balances is welcomed.

    We understand why this level of bank permission control matters. As recently mentioned in my updates on this idea, while we do have current work for user roles underway there is more complexities to developing permissions within the banking space and this isn't on the immediate roadmap.

    As we continue our journey to evolving roles within Xero we'll be sure to share any progress for permissions in bank accounts with you all, here.

    I second the suggestion of using a tick box for each type of permission. This would help small businesses customise their approval workflows for their business type. For example, create a role where a user can create drafts and submit them for approval and view all invoices in the system for managing AR but not be able to approve the invoices/email to clients.

    Hi everyone, a year on from my last engagement we wanted to provide an update for you all here.

    As many will be across we're in the midst of making a lot of iterations and improvements to new invoicing leading up to the retirement of classic invoicing in September (2024).

    We have a fair amount of work lined up in the teams schedule over the coming months and to give an indication there isn't any committed plans around a function to add interest to invoices.

    That said, we do have a team that have picked up and are considering how we might solve this with the technology in new invoicing - It's early days on this yet, but I'll share if there's any progress on this for you all here.

    In the meantime, as has been shared by others over time there are a few ways you could accomplish this…

    Hi community, we appreciate the on-going interest this idea is receiving and the growing needs in the ability to customise documents that you send from Xero.

    Right now, our position for this idea remains the same - we do have future plans to improve the branding experience across Xero, starting with invoicing which you can read more about.

    Hi Tina, just thinking in lieu of this feature atm - To help get a view of bills that don't have an assigned planned date you can click the Planned date header to sort all bills by planned date and this will also group all bills with no planned date. 🙂

    Hey everyone, thanks for all your feedback on displaying leave balances in days on payslips. We recognise that many of you are keen to see this feature.

    Our product team has reviewed this suggestion. While we understand the value it'd bring, it isn't on our foreseeable roadmap. As a result, we're updating the status of this idea to 'Not in Pipeline'.

    We're keeping this idea open for votes to help us gauge its popularity when we next review our payroll priorities. We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us.🙂
