   As I am an external accountant to several client, each with several pay-calendars across numerous entities, I would much appreciate if the ABA files (much like pdf reports) could be given a naming convention that ties the ABA clearly to entity, and pay-calendar when I screen through my downloads.

2. Sales | Batch Deposit in Foreign Currency

   Xero currently lacks the capability to bulk pay multi-currency invoices. This creates a significant bottleneck for our clients with a default currency of USD who process hundreds of invoices in EUR each month. While it is possible to import invoices in EUR in bulk, marking each invoice as paid individually is extremely time-consuming and inefficient. Please consider implementing a feature that allows users to bulk pay invoices in the same foreign currency. This enhancement would streamline the workflow for businesses handling large volumes of international transactions, saving time and reducing manual effort.

4. AU Payroll - Default Member Number for Employer Default Fund

   Dear Xero Team,

   I’d like to submit a request for an enhancement to Xero Payroll to improve the setup and management of default superannuation funds.

   Currently, when adding a default fund in Xero, there is uncertainty around what should be entered in the Member Number field. We typically process super contributions through the ATO Portal, but we would love to have the ability to do this directly within Xero.

   Specifically, we would like the ability to:

   Add a Default Fund chosen by the employer.

   Assign employees who do not have an existing super fund to this default fund.

   Have a system-generated Member Number or a default placeholder that indicates to the super fund that a new member needs to be set up.

   With Pay Day Super coming into effect next year, this functionality would significantly streamline payroll processes and ensure compliance with superannuation obligations.

   Could this functionality be introduced in a future update? We believe it would provide great value to businesses using Xero Payroll.

5. User Role - Access to specific feature only

   "Business and accounting" role needs ability to more narrowly define. I want an employee to access invoices (receivables) but that then gives them access to ALL financial reporting, e.g. P&L, which I don't want them to see.

6. Chart of Accounts - Assign a Tracking category

   Automatically assign a tracking category to a chart of account code, so when costs are billed against the account code, it also automatically assigns those costs to a default tracking category

7. Pricing Plans - Make Xero Projects available in the lower tiers of the new pricing plans

   With the new pricing tiers coming in September 2024, Projects is only included in the most expensive tier. I currently pay for it as an add-on on a per user basis. With just two of us, this is cost effective. From September, if I want Projects I will have to pay for the top tier, a 30% increase to retain the features I use! Please make Projects available in lower pricing tiers.

8. New Invoicing - Allow us to have Negative quantities on invoice

   In the Classic Invoicing, we could set a negative item amount which was useful to make it clear to clients that we had refunded something. It also corrected the stock levels in the inventory. In new Invoicing, you can set a negative financial amount but you are not allowed negative quantities, as such it is not clear and it messes up the stock inventory levels. You can do it via credit notes but this requires more things to be issued to clients etc.

9. Invoicing - Remove credit card logos from invoice PDF

   For businesses that only leverage ACH bank transfers as a form of payment, allow users the ability to remove all credit card logos from the invoice. It's not currently possible to remove the Visa and Mastercard logos from your invoices, when using Stripe as a payment service.

10. Bills - Disable Make Payment Button

    Your new "Make Payment" button and the Action column can not be removed/disabled in the Bills view. It is repetitive, distracting, and disruptive to my normal workflow.

    I would appreciate it if Xero did not diminish my user experience as a paying customer in order to promote a new service it is offering.

11. New Invoicing | Send - Copy & paste multiple emails into the To field

    When sending a new invoice to a client with multiple contacts, I find the most recent invoice relevant to the current project and copy the email details from the History and Notes entry for the action Invoice Sent.
    If there is more than one email address, the old invoicing used to recognise that a comma separated the email addresses. I could paste that into the 'To' box without issue.
    BUT IN THE NEW INVOICING, I get an error message when pasting multiple emails into the 'To' box: "One or more email addresses are invalid."
    This means that I have to copy and paste each email address separately, which is fine if I'm only doing this once. Over multiple invoices, it gets very frustrating.
    Can the new invoicing recognise that a comma between email address means that there is more than one? Or can the History and Notes formatting be changed in such a way that copying and pasting will work with the new invoicing?

12. GST Reconciliation Report - Save the filed amounts entries

    AU There was a discrepancy between GST ac balance at EOQ on the Balance Sheet & the GST refund for the end of quarter BAS. Using the GST Reconciliation report would be a lot more helpful if the Filed Amounts could actually be saved and continuously show the correct unfiled running balance amount and the section "GST Account Summary " for unfiled GST was actually correct as a cumulative balance. I just did 3.5 years worth of GST Reconciliations and nothing saved so all the running balances are wrong and don't flow correctly from one year to the next - even though I "published" them & hard copy printed each one as I went. The lack of GST reporting for periods where the "activity statement" has already been filed/lodged really should be improved as a priority.

13. New Invoicing - Edit item code without changing Description, qty or price

    When copying an invoice, we need to be able to copy and paste in the item code without it deleting all of the description, qty and cost.
    You can do this in classic invoicing, but when you do it in the updated invoicing it removes all the data on the line.

14. MFA - Move cursor to code field automatically

    When I login to Xero, I enter my email address and password and am taken to the second page (MFA).

    I'm then asked for the authenticator code, but I have to click into the field to enter the code.

    Xero knows that there is an almost 100% likelihood that the first (and only) thing I am going to do on that page is enter the MFA code.

    Xero should automatically have the cursor in that field so that I can type the code without clicking into the field.

16. Invoicing - Allow blank lines to make groups of invoice lines

    It would be great to be able to group certain lines of an invoice together (for example by adding some spacing between groups), to make long invoices more readable and logically coherent.

    It used to be possible to add spacing on the Classic invoicing page by pressing Enter a few times on the description field, but this no longer works on the New invoicing.

    Hi team, thanks for sharing detail of the value in this idea in the ways you invoice.

    We've just released a new line item grid in invoicing which includes the ability to manually add blank rows and shift these to where you're like them placed in your invoice.

    That said, I want to be transparent in how this works - When you save your invoice any blank lines will be removed. So, if you'd like blank lines to help break your invoice into sections, you'll need to enter a character in the Description field of the blank line. Even a full stop '.' or dash '-' would suffice. 

17. Xero - Backup data file

    Under all the new rules and regulations set down by the Tax Practitioners Board, it is a requirement to keep a backup copy of the data file. We do not want to start a new Xero file from a backup - that is not logical. We need the ability to click on a button and run a backup to comply with the new rules. Using another app is also not a solution. It must be built in the the Xero program that we can use as bookkeepers. This is an essential feature if we are to comply and do regular backups of the datafile.

19. AU Payroll - HH:MM entry format for timesheets

    It would be wonderful to have the option to use HH:MM format for timesheet entries, instead of only decimal time. Hard to convince employees to do timesheets as it is, but to also ask them to convert two weeks of project works over numerous jobs into decimal format is a big ask! Not many people are used to entering 4.6667 hrs instead of 4hrs 40min. If this is a feature of Xero Practice Manager, can it not be easily made available to the rest of us?

20. Manual Journals - Ability to post journal entries to bank/cash accounts

    Remove the limitation on posting manual journal entries to bank/cash accounts. I end up spending way too much time on manual workarounds (payroll entries for example, you have to use a "bill" to replace the functionality of a journal entry). It ends up taking way more time working around the limitation than its worth. As a new user of Xero, I'm incredulous. I've worked with multiple accounting software platforms over the years, and never been exposed to such a massive limitation like this. It's almost a dealbreaker, and for some clients it certainly is. I've been looking for a viable alternative to Intuit for a while. I generally like Xero - customer service is significantly better than Intuit, and the pricing is better too. Unfortunately, if this limitation is not removed in the near future, I fear that I will have to go back to using QBO. Xero please fix so that I don't have to do that.

    Thanks for the added detail, everyone. It's good to be able to share this detail back with our teams.

    Appreciate why Bank Rules won't help for cash accounts and where you don't have a bank feed coming into the account.

    Being open, this isn't something we have plans for changing in the short-term. We'll leave the idea open for our product team to continue considering how we could improve efficiency in some of the situations you've described. If there are any updates we'll share this with you all here.
