    Appreciate the feedback and including a screenshot of the notifications you're getting on the invoice, Andrew. Just to make sure I fully understand your idea here - Are you saying that rather than seeing the pop up you'd like to have these added as history events to the invoice?

There should be an audit trail in Payroll detailing when changes to an Employee record is made (for example: date an address was updated for an employee and what it was until that date, likewise for other details such as email address, bank account number, tax code etc). As an Employer we should be able to rely on the digitised Payroll system we are using to determine when changes to an Employee's record has been made.   4. We need to include delivery notes with orders. The current packing slip does not cover this requirement. I'd like to be able to select multiple invoices, and bulk print delivery notes for them all. The delivery note needs to be somewhat customisable.

    The notion of having to edit an invoice and change the theme in order to generate a delivery note is completely impractical!

    Hi everyone, while our team considered solutions in this space with other pieces of work planned there is no current development planned for adding a notes or description field within Projects at this time. 

    For now, as you may be aware you can add notes to the History and notes of the individual transactions within a project, or alternatively on the Contacts record. 

    We're continuing to watch this space and will share if there is any progress. 

  7. Ability to export and import Notes that are shown in the contact details section as a column in the exported file.

    This would allow bulk update and review of notes that have been added across Contacts.

  8. Allow the inclusion of Credit Notes in Batch Payments where the total to be paid to a supplier is still positive. This would allow a single batch for a Supplier to match their Statement, particularly where credit notes are not related to specific Bills.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to hear from us on this idea and apologies for not commenting sooner. I can assure you this has not gone unnoticed and internally there have been reviews and discussions for how batch payments can be improved. We have the appetite, but as with all developments this must be weighed up and considered against many other important changes needed in product. 

    We want to be upfront that developing the ability to include Credit notes in Batch payments has not been planned at this stage. 

    As some may have seen, we do have work going on around being able to include Credit Notes as part of the reconciliation process. We understand for many on this idea the timing of including credit notes when you’re creating the batch payments is crucial, however we hope that when delivered at least being able to reconcile these more efficiently…

  9. Receivable invoice summary- add notes column - if notes are made on why invoice are not yet paid. can we run an age receivables report, that also includes the notes on an invoice please

  10. Ability to produce supplier remittances that include all the credit notes against any payment as unallocated.

    Hey community, thanks heaps for this suggestion.


    As you may have seen in our Xero Blog post, we’ve rolled out support for start and end times in timesheets, and with this update comes the ability for staff to add in notes 🎉


    As such, I'll be marking this one as delivered !

  13. Needs 'Are you sure' pop up for Deleting Contact Files

    Its too easy to accidentally delete a file attached to a Contact. Needs to be an 'Are you sure you want to delete ...' pop up when deleting.
    Especially as it also doesn't populate in the history/notes section that anything has been deleted.

With the currect feature History and note report we are able to see which invoice for example has been edited - change name of invoice - reconciled etc. However we would like to have a more detailed view, for example if an invoice is booked in USD and someone will change the currency in EUR we are not able to see this change , we can see only that the invoice is edited by X person but we are not able to see the change. How can we have this feature?

    Hi everyone, while we still have more changes planned in this space I wanted to fill you in on the more recent changes in this space.

    We have now added the ability to view the email an invoice was sent to in history, as well as adding timestamps for more insight into when an event was made.

    This would help with viewing contact notes across different contacts, for detail such as method of payment or terms of service.

    Hi everyone, as noted in my recent update Additional notes for a Contact is now live to 100% of organisations.  A quick recap - You’ll find this new feature located at the bottom of the Contact details section, when adding or editing a Contact. It’ll be visible in the Add/Edit screen, and from the right panel of a Contact’s record.

    There are some asks through this idea that go beyond this release such as;

    If you're interested in these features please join and support them. It’d be good to get a refreshed sense of the interest in each.     Hi community, I’m pleased to share that Additional Notes for a contact are now live to everyone!

    As mentioned in my last response - You’ll find the feature available to use when adding or editing a Contact, at the bottom of the Contact details section.

    You can edit the contact at any time to edit or delete text that you’ve entered in this field. Once saved, you’ll see the saved text shown in the right panel of a Contacts record.

    To confirm, this does not apply to notes that are added to the History & Notes of a Contact. If you'd like the ability to edit and Delete notes we'd recommend using the additional notes option.

  18. The ability to preview notes added against a bill/invoice from the summary screens, rather than having to open each record to view them. For example a notes icon next to the existing document one, which would display the note when clicked.

  19. To be able to see a proper transaction report of either outstanding or all transactions from the contact screen. All it gives you at the moment is a list of invoices and notes etc with no structure. If you could get a transaction history from that screen and an aged breakdown it would be really helpful, which you could download, without coming out of there and having to go to reports. It's so frustrating.

  20. Add feature on the Dashboard for users with the Adviser permission to add client notes.

    Purpose: Notes specific to that client can be held here so that other advisers who're less familiar with the client can quickly check what they need to consider when working specifically in that file.
