  1. Show the Total Payment of a Pay Run, on both the Pay Runs and individual Pay Run screen. As it is, you have to click Payroll > Pay Employees > Pay Run > Employee to see the Total Payment for that specific Pay Run. Far too many clicks to check what the total amount was that was posted to Wages Payable account (and paid from the bank account).

  2. Sometime in the last week, the order in which data is presented in the Payroll Activity Summary report has changed from
    - Earnings
    - Tax
    - Super
    - Net payable
    - Actual paid
    to
    - Earnings
    - Net payable
    - Actual paid
    - Super
    - Tax

    Put it back, please, it makes no sense to have something other than Wages less Tax equals Payable. Also reinstate the highlighted total lines in this report and in the Payroll Employee Summary, I'm ashamed to send this to my client with their IAS, it's not readable enough.

  3. Include a new filed in payroll employee data with employee number. Employees will have a unique indentifier in xero. When running a pay history report the customer number to appear on this report as well as any other payroll roll reports. Businesses are using automated payslip and messaging services for payroll and this info is required for these software's.

  4. Could a similar function that UK organsiations have to "deep archive" employees be rolled out to AU organsiations? This will assist to adhere to legal requirements of retaining employee records for 7 years.

    Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.

    For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

  7. Add a second email address for an employee, for their payslips to be sent too - i.e. if payslips need to be sent to an employment agency each pay run, their email address can be added and payslips automatically sent here each pay run, rather than manually downloading payslips to send outside of Xero.

  8. If in a 'normal' pay run an employee takes Annual Leave then Leave loading is shown as a separate line item - clear to the payroll person and the employee. However in a Final Pay run it does not show. Being consolidated with the leave sum is not obvious. Please keep to the 'normal' format, then it's clear to everyone

  9. When adding a new employee record, allow me to 'create new superannuation' during the process of creating their new record. Currently when adding a new employee record, I need to navigate away from the employee record to 'Settings > Payroll Settings > Superannuation' to add a new superannuation relationship. On the new employee record, when the pop up appears for superannuation, if you could add a spot to say 'Create New relationship' or something under the employee record - I'll buy you a beer.

  11. Please add unit and rate columns in this report.

    I know the second option is Payroll Activity Details report. However, when I download this report in excel, the Pay item type is under the employee column i.e not separated.

  12. We need to pay two different groups of employees from two different bank accounts. Having to change the payroll settings each time I do a pay run (to change the bank account) leaves far too much room for error. Can there be an option to select which bank account you want to use for each pay group PLEASE!!?

  13. A CSV/Excel file with headers Employee, Gross, Net, NI, giving essentially the same data as the Payroll Activity Details report, for a payrun, but in column format with one line per employee for ease of reference.

    We have more than 30 employees and the Payroll Activity Details report is very long and cumbersome to reference.

  14. Would be great to get the Payment Summary Details report to include a filter for Superannuation
    There doesn't seem to be a report that easily shows all payroll information by Employee Group.

  15. Overtime Report by employee in one easy to read report

    Managerment required a report to analyse overtime per employee over the course of a year - in one report. Only option in Xero is to run report employee by employee. (which would be incredibly time consuming)

    A simple report would be -

    - Rows would be list of employees
    - Columns would be all the overtime categories,

    - values would be sum of hours worked (or dollar value or both)
    - parametres would be between two given dates.

    I could find no such useful report in Xero…

  16. Hi,
    It would be great to be able to pay contractors (who are paid Super) in Payroll and have an option for GST. I feel the Contractor payments aren't user friendly for most small business as they have subcontractors and contractors where only GST is added and no PAYG tax is deducted.

  17. Is it possible to change the annual leave or personal leave displayed on the payroll activity details report to be the actually leave dates that the employee has taken. Currently the dates next to the annual leave or personal leave line is the pay date (which for reporting purposes is misleading as the employee didn't have leave on these dates).

  18. I would like to pay my employees for a specific period:-

  19. With employees on a salary contract for say 80K that compensate for extra hours each week (up to 57hrs) there is an issue with the current xero pay templates adding pay for every hour above 40hrs, as leave is calculated on number of hours worked. With these types of salaries it would be good to adjust the hours worked on each weekly payrun without it changing the payment amount but still changing the leave as per the award requirements. Currently the only way to handle this is creating a new payroll line item of "additional hours…

  20. Accrued Earnings Payroll item in Payroll

    We need to record a Project Incentive Payment as an accrual on payslips. These accruals vary per project with some accrued hourly, daily or weekly and are paid at the end of the project.

    The Accrued Earnings payment would be setup in Payroll Settings, with a running total displayed on payslips.
